With 2 babies, a sloppy preteen and an equally messy husband in the house, sometimes it's very difficult for me to keep our wooden furniture and flooring looking nice. My toddler always has something sticky on her hands, it seems, and she loves nothing more than grabbing things on our coffee table. So of course, she leaves behind a tacky trail of indistinguishable goo behind her... Unfortunately, it often ends up covering my beautiful $500.00 dark wood coffee table. Even after scrubbing her fingerprints away, the wood looks dull and lifeless. Not like it was before the babies came, that's for sure!
My kitchen cabinets also seem to acquire a "film" from regular cooking activities. Even after I scrub them down with a degreasing cleaner, they don't shine as brightly as they should. They end up looking dingy and worn no matter what I do. I have tried oil soaps and polishes, and have had limited success with these products. Not all wood cleaners are created equal! Another problem area in my house is the wooden floor in my foyer and dining room. These are high traffic areas where muddy kids, a dog, and filthy work boots travel daily. Grass and pollens even get tracked onto the floor after mowing the lawn! (Yes, I really wish people would take their shoes off RIGHT when they enter, but try telling that to the hubby and oldest son.) Even though I sweep this area regularly and I mop it once every two weeks or so with our steam mop, the finish still leaves a lot to be desired. That's why I jumped at the chance to review Scott's Liquid Gold products. I was familiar with the brand, as I think that a grandparent had some in their house when I was growing up. I am surprised I hadn't tried it before now! I received the Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner and Preservative and the Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Wash for review. You can also check out AuthorityAdviser for more review. What a wonderful excuse to catch up on some housework! I actually enjoyed testing these products! I turned some music on and sang out loud while I cleaned the cabinets and the wooden floors! Thank goodness no one was were to see me but the babies!
I think these products definitely live up to their name! They are simple to use, don't smell too terribly bad, and they left a nice, shiny finish to the surfaces they cleaned. They instantly breathed new life into my tired old wood! I would call it Extreme Makeover: Wood Edition!
If you would love to see your wooden surfaces renewed, restored and beautiful again, I would highly recommend this powerful wood cleaner. It works quickly, is super-effective, and I truly feel like my home has had a "facelift" since using these wonderful products.

We have real hardwood floor in our living and dining rooms. The house is 12 years old and the floors are looking a little dull. I have tried an array of products, but nothing seems to make them shine. I think Scott's Liquid Gold could be just what I am looking for!
