I have to admit, I am not a morning person, and back-to-school season has been majorly kicking my butt. We homeschool our youngest children using the K12 Online Learning Program, and each morning, the kids have Class Connect sessions with their teachers and classmates. This means we have to rise and shine, bright and early. TOO early for my tastes, to be completely honest.

We received a copy of this awesome new release to check out for ourselves. I have to admit, I was immediately taken back to my childhood. "Beauty and the Beast" was always my favorite Disney animated film, and I could always identify with Belle. I, too, was the kid who never quite fit in. I was the kid sitting on a bench at recess, book in hand and not a care in the world. In fact, I was totally jealous of Belle's Library in the film. All of those beautiful, beautiful BOOKS! Wow! 

Okay....So I am still jealous of Belle's Library. Sigh.

Anyway, we really enjoyed this release. Not only is the film absolutely AMAZING in crystal clear HD, it was also tons of fun seeing the alternate versions offered and all of the fun, bonus features that were included. Our favorite would have to be the brand new Sing-Along version!

I am a HUGE fan of PRI, and of Manuka Honey in general. Domestic honey has been in the news lately, and not for very good reasons. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about my Manuka Honey, since it comes directly from beautiful New Zealand, and is completely pure and clean.

As a busy, homeschooling, work-at-home Mom, I don't get enough opportunities to take care of myself. I always, always put the needs of my kiddos and household first. This means I don't get to go to the salon all the time, and I certainly don't get the chance to head to the gym. There simply aren't enough hours in the day, and there are too many things that are already demanding my time and attention.

One thing I have been working on, despite these limitations, is becoming more healthy and fit. I recently turned 35, and I have to be honest, I am not overly athletic. Okay, that is actually an understatement. I am not athletic AT ALL. I was the kid in school who walked the mile rather than ran it, and I have never even done a cartwheel because I was too afraid of breaking my neck. Yes, even as a child I was plagued with anxiety. It's really no wonder that I am such a worrier as an adult! 

Anyway, recently I discovered an awesome company called Vive Health. This company offers a wide variety of medical supplies and equipment designed for at-home use. They offer blood pressure monitors, back and knee braces, walkers, and even physical therapy products. Their selection is absolutely wonderful, and can make a lot of difference in the lives of millions of Americans who suffer from medical issues and/or limited mobility. 

While we don't have any medical issues at home that would require most of these products, I did notice that Vive Health offers a great solution that will allow me to work on my fitness goals anywhere, anytime. Their Pedal Exerciser is absolutely wonderful, and I can go for a "ride" while blogging, helping my kids with their schooling, or even while watching TV. My kiddos are very tech-savvy. They are enrolled in the K12 Program, so they do most of their learning online. When it's not time to study, they love playing games on their computers. We stick to mainly educational games, like Reading Eggs, but the kids also love RPG and action games, too. We keep it age appropriate, though, so nothing with graphic violence, etc. 

Anyway, since the kids spend so much time on their computers, we give them headsets. Not only does this help them to concentrate by drowning out distractions, it also helps preserve my sanity, since I don't really want to hear tons of gaming sounds all day long. 

All headsets are not created equal, though. Sophie and Xander started off with some cheap, kids' headsets. These didn't last long at all, as they weren't exactly durable, to say the least. The sound quality also left quite a bit to be desired. 

Recently, we got to check out the AWESOME Virtual 7.1 Gaming Headset from 1byone.com. These headphones take gaming to a whole new level, and offer the absolute best sound quality I've seen from over the ear headphones. It's literally like hearing everything in crisp, clear, 7.1 Surround Sound. 

When my family bought a home here in my little Ohio hometown, we opted to purchase an older, Century home. We just love the character of older homes, and mine doesn't disappoint. Our house was built in 1924, and is located very close to our Historic Riverfront District. We have lots of gorgeous, original woodwork, and lots of charming details from an era gone by.

Of course since it IS an older home, it CAN seem pretty spooky, especially at night. There are strange sounds like creaking, and it keeps my daughter awake at night. Sophie is afraid of the dark in general, and adding the sounds from an older home just seems to make her fear intensified.

Football season is BACK! Here in the Cleveland, OH area, I am already seeing people get revved up to support the Browns. Hopefully, they will have a year like the Cavs just did, and take it all the way to the Super Bowl! I know...I know...Not likely....But a gal can dream, right? If it's one thing we Clevelanders have, it's hope! 

My husband is originally from Chicago, so he is a die-hard Bears fan. This makes people give him some downright evil looks in public when he goes out wearing any Chicago gear! 

Anyway, the thing I love most about football season, other than the occasional Bruno Mars concert being held during Super Bowl Halftime, is the FOOD. I am an appetizer freak, so I absolutely love munching away on wings, chicken strips, potato skins, and anything else that can be found.
