Thank you, Raising Cane's OH, for sponsoring this post. *** How’s the Socially Distanced life going for everyone? Is everyone faring well these days? Sadly, we’ve been impacted by this virus, as Dan has been laid off and we’re stuck in Unemployment Limbo for the 4th week much like half of the State of Ohio. The waiting game is beyond stressful, and paired with being cooped up 24/7, is enough to make me have moments that make me want to scream. I'm hanging in there though, and trying my best to make the most of our new "normal"....For now, at least. We're all in this together, and we will get through it together, too.
Still, Quarantine life has its challenges....Like boredom. Part of keeping things from becoming too repetitive, Groundhog Day style, we try and change things up while maintaining proper social distancing. No, we may not be able to sit down and eat at our favorite restaurants, but we CAN make an excursion to the Drive-Thru as fun as possible. Hey, my littles are 9 and 10, and Mystery Car Rides to places unknown definitely help to break up the monotony. Added bonus? Drive-Thru adventures give us a change of pace as far as our meals go, and I get an evening off from cooking. It's truly a win for everyone involved.

These are weird times we live in. The past few weeks have been eye-opening, uncertain, and just nothing that any of us have experienced before. We've been affected by this crisis, unfortunately. My husband has been temporarily laid off, and we are still in limbo as far as Unemployment filing goes. The state of Ohio is backed up, and we, like many others, have been waiting for weeks....
Still, we understand why this is happening, and we are doing our best to stay home and stay as healthy as possible. We're washing hands religiously, limiting our contact with people outside the home, and we're covering our faces so we don't touch them when we DO go out. Another thing we're doing to be on the safe side is make sure we're getting the best nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to support immunity and wellness. Things like B Vitamins and D3 are essential, and I even take a Calming Formula supplement to help keep my calm. This is so important, as I don't typically deal with this level of stress very well. This, too, shall pass, right? We're all in this together, and we have to take it one day at a time. Speaking of supplements that support immunity, I'd love to talk about Superior Source Vitamins. They are my go-to for supplements, and have been for years. With over 180 vitamins, there are vitamins for everyone, young old and every need. Best of all, Superior Source Vitamins are MicroLingual® with “Under the Tongue Technology” that works fast, and are quickly absorbed into the body, dissolving in seconds. Did you know that... by swallowing supplements, as much as 50% of the potency is lost in the high acid environment of the stomach? Moms are some of the hardest working, most resilient people on the planet. Moms are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders, and still somehow keep moving forward, even during the scariest and most uncertain of times.
As the mom of 3 kids, one grown and the other 2 homeschooled, I stay pretty busy. I'd be lying if I said the stress wasn't real right now, too, as my husband was temporarily laid off due to current world events. I have been doing my absolute best to remain positive and optimistic, but I have to admit, I am scared, too. To keep my own wellness in check, I make it a point to take at least an hour of "me time" here at home every single day. Often, that means hiding in the bathroom with tunes, a good book, some calming CBD goodies, and a nice, hot bath. It's like an escape from the world, surrounded by things I love, just for a little while. That recharge is important, and a much needed part of my day. Taking this time helps me to manage my stress and stay grounded, even during these weird, weird times we live in. |
