Here in NE Ohio, the winters are pretty brutal. The temperatures are downright frigid, and our skin often bears the brunt of exposure to the icy wind and cold. I know for me personally, I always try and take extra care during the winter to avoid dry, cracked skin. After all, I need my hands to be in tip-top shape. I depend on my hands for everything, from preparing meals and treats to homeschooling the littles to doing household chores.
The most important task my hands perform, in my opinion, is holding little hands. I'm lucky that my kids are still little enough to want to grab me by the hand constantly, and I want to make sure they're coming into contact with nice, soft skin. Silly? Maybe. But it's the little things that matter most.
