![]() You all know I love, love, LOVE my fluff! Cloth-diapering is one of the best decisions I have made for my family, and I am always on the lookout for new brands and styles of diapers to try. With so many choices out there like One Size diapers, Fitteds, AI2's, AIO's covers and more, I am always finding more reasons to fall even more in love with cloth-diapering. As an Incredimom Blogger, I have already tried the awesome Incredibum Wet Bag, but I was waiting on pins and needles for my Incredibum diaper to arrive. Ever since the brand launched this past October, I have had my eye on the Incredibum One Size Diaper. Being the proud mama of 2 toddlers, I prefer OS diapers because they will fit both of my babies, therefore saving me money. The Incredibum OS Bamboo Diaper is available in 7 fun colors and fits babies from around 8lbs-30+lbs. Of course exact weight ranges depend on the length and girth of the baby wearing the diaper! I have found that my son fit into the vast majority of One Size diapers when he was between 8-10lbs, or around 1-2 months old. He was born at a tiny 6lbs 14oz, so babies with higher birth-weights can easily fit into OS diapers right away. This diaper features a generous amount of snaps including 2 hip snaps on each side as well as cross-over snaps. The rise of the diaper can be adjusted using the snaps on the front of the diaper. You can choose the smallest setting, a mid-rise setting, or leave this portion unsnapped altogether. This means that the Incredibum grows with your baby.

Who's excited about MARVEL'S The Avengers? I am, I am! This awesome, action packed film is blazing onto the big screen nationwide on May 4, 2012! My husband is already gearing up by dusting off his old comics and re-familiarizing himself with the characters to be featured! (Did I mention he's a little kid in a 34 year old's body?!) While you eagerly await the release of this adventure, check out the brand new trailer! Let's admit it. Sometimes frozen pizza is just a fact of life. I know when I am not feeling my best and it's Dad's turn to "cook" dinner, we usually have frozen pizzas. Sometimes they're good, sometimes...ehhh...not so much! One of my favorite brands is Freschetta. They use high quality ingredients that don't just look better, they taste better, too! I know when it comes to pizza, I prefer nice, chewy crust, sauce with a nice, flavorful bite to it, and only the freshest, most inspired toppings. I like my pizza to taste like pizza, not some odd concoction of plastic and carboard!
The folks at Freschetta have heard consumer's demands for REAL pizza in their grocer's freezer. That's why they have launched the Freschetta Rally For Real Pizza! Join Freschetta's Rally for Real Pizza by submitting a photo to the Rally Mosaic on Facebook www.facebook.com/freschettapizza. Each week we they select 100 winners -- to each receive 5 Freschetta® Pizzas. On March 30, they will also select 10 winners - who will each receive Freschetta® Pizza for a year! I have already submitted my photo and joined the Rally! Will you?! Be sure to "like" Freschetta on Facebook and you could win big! I'm getting hungry already! ***Disclosure:I occasionally receive compensation in the form of products for posts. However, the opinions I share are solely my own.*** ![]() One of the most important lessons for a child to learn is to dream big, conquer their fears, and reach for the stars. As a little person in a great big world, this can be a daunting, often intimidating task! New experiences can be scary. After all, there are so many new things to learn and see, new people to meet, and new challenges to undertake in life. This can often make a child (or adult, for that matter) feel a little less than confident. That's why I was so happy to receive the opportunity to review a brand new children's book by Olympic Gold Medalist, Kristi Yamaguchi. "It's a Big World, Little Pig" tells the heartwarming story of Poppy, a little pig with big dreams. Poppy wants to be a famous figure skater. She works very hard at reaching her goals, and travels to Paris to compete in the World Games. At first, Poppy is nervous about meeting so many new people in a new place. But, ever courageous and supported by her family (and best friend Emma, too!), Poppy begins to realize that although these animals look different, act different, and are from different places, they are all the same at heart. They all smile in the same language! This week marks what would have been Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday, as well as the opening for the highly anticipated animated big-screen debut of one the author’s most favored books, The Lorax.
Dr. Seuss has been entertaining readers for generations. His bright and exotic illustrations tantalize the mind and the easy-to-read rhymes are usually life lessons disguised as fun—and sometimes mischievous—adventures. With this being such a Seuss-centric week, the Brooke Jackman Foundation has compiled a list of the Top 5 Seuss books that are more than meets the eye, stories that also teach children how to handle challenging situations :
The Brooke Jackman Foundation was created in 2001 to honor Brooke Jackman, a bright and compassionate 23-year-old avid reader who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks before achieving her dream of becoming a social worker. Brooke’s passion and commitment to literacy and helping children spurred the Jackman family to create the Foundation as her living legacy – turning tragedy and despair into hope for a better world. Since its inception, the Brooke Jackman Foundation has donated over 100,000 books and 15,000 “Brooke Packs,” backpacks filled with books and school supplies, to children and families in need. In addition to an annual Read-a-thon, BJF has established four libraries, as well as a number of after school literacy programs, at sites across all five boroughs, including homeless shelters and Family Justice Centers for victims of domestic violence and crime in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. ![]() You all know how much I LOVE Step2. They offer nothing but the best products for indoor and outdoor play, and all of their products are built to last for years! Yes, they really are durable enough to be passed on to many different children. I loved Step2 when my 12 year old was a toddler, and I love them just as much now! This is hands down my favorite company ever, and it's not just because they're Ohio based and American made. I know I always mention this, but being a North-Eastern Ohio native myself, I have to show some hometown pride! Can you really blame me, though? Step2 is one of the best things to come out of Ohio, aside from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cedar Point! These are entirely different posts altogether, though! I am an Ohio gal at heart, and am so proud to be able to help represent Step2 in their 2012 Test Drive Moms campaign. Not only is it an honor, it's a complete pleasure! Well, I recently got the opportunity to review yet another fantastic product from them, the Step2 Wagon for Two Plus in the newly released pink color! I was beyond thrilled, since with 2 active toddlers, a 2-seater wagon has been quite high on my wish-list. Since Step2 is synonymous for quality, of course this exact wagon was the one I have been drooling over! Their previous versions are available in an attractive Hunter Green as well as an adorable OSU model. (That's Ohio State University, for you non-Buckeyes out there!) The pink color is brand new, and I was thrilled to be able to be one of the first owners of this awesome new design! Yes, I have both a girl AND a boy, but I have no problem toting my son around with his sister in a pink wagon. None at all. No matter what the color, this wagon is loads of fun for any little person! When our Wagon for Two Plus arrived, I was ecstatic and couldn't wait for my husband to get home to assemble it. Yes, I am extremely mechanically challenged, so he puts together everything that needs assembly. It saves me a ton of headache, and when he puts things together, I am always certain it's been done right. After all, he IS a "car guy" and spent many years repairing vehicles. If he can repair an engine, he can put together a wagon! My husband had the Step2 Wagon for Two Plus put together and ready to roll in about 20 minutes. It was quick, easy, and posed no challenge for him at all. The first thing I noticed about the assembled product was the quality. Of course I expected a fantastic product from the start. Step2 is known for their superior quality, and we were not disappointed here. This wagon is sturdy, well-designed, and offers a ton of extras that are sure to make any outing with little ones even more fun! ![]() WARNING: This post contains TMI. If you're squeamish or a male, you just might want to click away now. If you're a woman, and you'd like to make your life a whole lot easier, keep on reading. After I had my youngest child a year ago, I made the (stupid) decision to get my tubes tied following my cesarean. After all, I had 3 healthy kids already, and had just gone through 2 back-to-back pregnancies, both resulting in C-sections. At that moment in time, getting a tubal ligation just made sense. What I didn't know were the horrid side effects that came along with this procedure. Things like awful cramping, severe PMS, and incredibly heavy monthly bleeding have become my reality. Sounds fun, right? Yeah, not so much. Since my period has returned, I bleed so much that I will soak right through a Super Absorbency tampon in an hour. That's a LOT of tampons every month, which gets expensive quite quickly. My husband has even had to run out and grab another box at 3:00AM on more than one occasion since I was going through them so rapidly. Poor guy! What man wants to head out to pick up feminine care products? Talk about awkward, right?! Recently, I have been doing a lot of research into ways I can better manage my monthly visitor. While I had heard of the DivaCup before, I had never really considered using it. The whole "ick" factor was a bit too much to swallow. A reusable menstrual cup? What? This just didn't sound at all pleasant to me. However, I have several friends who use these and swear by them. I had tons of questions that they were happy to answer, and I started taking a closer look at this product. So what IS The DivaCup? The DivaCup is a non-absorbent menstrual cup that simply collects menstrual flow. It is inserted in the vagina and sits at the lower base of the vaginal canal. It is worn internally, yet because it is soft and smooth, it cannot be felt nor will it leak when inserted properly. The DivaCup comes in 2 sizes. One is for women under 30 who have not had a child, and the other is is for women 30 and older and/or women who have had children. Proper sizing is important, as it will prevent leakage. This product is made of a strong, non-leaching silicone that is hypo- allergenic. This form of silicone is odorless, latex-free, plastic-free and BPA-free. It has been used safely in healthcare applications for over 50 years. The FDA has cleared The DivaCup for use by the FDA for use as feminine hygiene protection. It also holds a current Health Canada medical device license. The DivaCup is the most clean and convenient method of feminine hygiene protection. I have a few very lucky winners to announce!

Okay, maybe completely clueless. I have always loved to write, but the concept of creating my own website where people would actually want to read what I had to say? Well, let's just say that stumped me. There are about 10 zillion blogs out there, and unless you're someone really darn important, making a blog successful can be tricky. Let's face it: I am a mom. A wife. I have no Nobel Prize attached to my name, I am not a celeb, and I have never had sexual relations with anyone scandalous. So taking these factors into consideration, HOW could I get my name out there? How could I build a blog that I could be proud of and my readers would enjoy? There's so much to learn, so much to do, and it can be pretty overwhelming at times. That's where Sadie Lankford comes to the rescue! Who the heck is Sadie Lankford, and why should you care? First of all, she's freaking adorable. Just look at that smiling face! Why wouldn't you want to know more about her?! But good looks aside, Sadie has been a successful blogger for more than 10 years. I have been a reader of Sadie's blogs for well over a year now, and have always enjoyed her content, design, and general outlook on things. Like we say out here in Virginia, Sadie is "good people." No, really....She IS. Sadie is so sweet that she has a blog dedicated solely to helping other bloggers develop their sites, social media presence, and become successful in the blogosphere. She loves helping other bloggers grow, and has recently written a great 15 page ebook called "Don't Clog the Blog" that is packed full of helpful advice, tips, and tricks to help others on their paths to Blogging Greatness. |
