Thank you, Raising Cane's OH, for sponsoring this post. *** How’s the Socially Distanced life going for everyone? Is everyone faring well these days? Sadly, we’ve been impacted by this virus, as Dan has been laid off and we’re stuck in Unemployment Limbo for the 4th week much like half of the State of Ohio. The waiting game is beyond stressful, and paired with being cooped up 24/7, is enough to make me have moments that make me want to scream. I'm hanging in there though, and trying my best to make the most of our new "normal"....For now, at least. We're all in this together, and we will get through it together, too. Still, Quarantine life has its challenges....Like boredom. Part of keeping things from becoming too repetitive, Groundhog Day style, we try and change things up while maintaining proper social distancing. No, we may not be able to sit down and eat at our favorite restaurants, but we CAN make an excursion to the Drive-Thru as fun as possible. Hey, my littles are 9 and 10, and Mystery Car Rides to places unknown definitely help to break up the monotony. Added bonus? Drive-Thru adventures give us a change of pace as far as our meals go, and I get an evening off from cooking. It's truly a win for everyone involved. Recently, we headed to the Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in beautiful Kent, OH to grab a made to order dinner for our family. This is also lovingly known as Castle Black Squirrel, in homage to the bizarre number of jet black squirrels found living their best lives in the quaint city of Kent, OH. There are tons of them, and it's truly a sight to see. You'll notice this especially near the KSU campus. Anyway, we didn't tell the kids exactly where we were going, but did give them a few little hints along the way. The trip to Kent takes us in a direction they're not used to going, so they had NO IDEA what we had up our sleeves for them. As far as they knew, we could have been in another state. They felt lost and confused, but full of excitement trying to guess our destination. As we made our way to the far end of the Kent State University campus on Main Street, I started clucking like a chicken....They started throwing out guesses of random chicken places. I then hinted that this chicken joint deals ONLY in Chicken Fingers, and are famous for their sauce. Check out our TikTok below to see Xander spot Raising Cane's from the car as we approach. Of course I HAD to have some adventurous theme music going to set the mood. By the way, I'm newer to TikTok, but please feel free to follow me there! My username is BrandyMcNugget. Yes, really. Don't ask questions. Just be my new friend, okay? Okay. Now we had heard amazing things about Raising Cane’s, but this is our first experience trying them. Needless to say, we were all very eager to see if these mouthwatering fingers truly live up to the hype. Will they meet expectations? Will they satisfy even my pickiest eater, my 9 year old, Xander? Will Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers reign supreme? We headed through the Drive-Thru determined to find out for ourselves. First things first, I’d love to give a shout out to the staff at Raising Cane’s in Kent. They were incredibly friendly, bubbly, and seemed very enthusiastic to serve. They also practiced good hygiene and distancing measures, in case you have concerns about that. It was clear that the folks at Raising Cane’s are all about safety and satisfaction for every single one of their guests. They have a great reputation locally, which made it absolutely no surprise that there was a line wrapped around the building. It moved quickly, though, and we had our meal in no time. Then we got to enjoy the ride home while being absolutely teased by the aroma of these famous chicken fingers and all the fixins. We ordered a good bit of food for 5 people. (My 20 year old eats as much as an army, though.) We got a couple Caniac Combos, a couple Kid's Combos, and a Tailgate Tray of 25 Chicken Fingers since I knew the kids would end up wanting more.....And because my 20 year old son eats like a champ. I have to say, Raising Cane's definitely lived up to the hype. Their chicken fingers are arguably some of the best out there, and that sauce? Oh. My. Goodness. Flavor explosion in my mouth. The chicken fingers were nice and moist inside, with a flavorful, yet light and crispy coating. It's truly perfection, and is the perfect combo of crisp and tender. I suppose it could be because each and every chicken finger is hand-dipped and breaded to order. You heard me right: These babies are made to order, and get prepared fresh for each and every customer. This really seems to put them head and shoulders above the rest, in my humble opinion. In the words of my picky child, Xander? "I'm in LOVE with this chicken!" We also enjoyed the Texas Toast, Cole Slaw, and the Crinkle-Cut Fries. These foods are simple, and even classics. However, sometimes simple classics are best, especially when they're done right. And friends? Raising Cane's is definitely doing it right. So right that between all of us, we absolutely destroyed our entire order in record time, and didn't really have many leftovers. We all indulged, and loved every last bite. I am not ashamed, either. It was worth it. Calories consumed during lockdown don't count, right? Anyway, if you're looking to break up the monotony while getting a break in the kitchen, why not plan a Drive-Thru Field Trip to YOUR local Raising Cane's? This is great food, prepared fresh to order. We will most definitely be making this a regular stop when we choose to eat out! We eat there as a family a few times a month. My wife and kids eat there more frequently for lunch. They are on our regular rotation.

OK we're officially friends. You have the coolest last name. And I have 2 picky eaters & all they like are chicken nuggets. My husband originally discovered the beauty of Raising Canes & introduced me to it, way before our girls were born. The chicken is good, but anything is good in that amazing sauce!! And always get a lemonade, amiright? Thanks for the fun giveaway, I'm looking forward to eating there when this mess is over.

I've tried it once so I don't have a favorite. We are finally getting one about 5 minutes up the road from us so there will be one closer to go to! The only other one was about a 15 minute drive. Yes we are spoiled - everything is within a 5-10 minute drive for us! LOL

We haven't tried it yet. They built one about 10 min away in the next town and haven't gotten a chance to yet. The pictures look good, though!
