***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my post. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** It's 2020, everyone! With a new year comes new goals and resolutions. I personally hate the term "New Year's Resolution", as it seems too daunting and I end up setting myself up for failure that way. Every positive change I've ever made, from eliminating soda pop to quitting smoking for GOOD after many years of partaking in that nasty habit, came from focusing on creating better habits rather than having some unrealistic yearly assignment that I absolutely HAD to succeed at. That is just too much pressure, and no one has time for that, right?! The dedication to replacing bad habits with much better ones has always been easier for me than sticking to those pesky, and often fleeting, New Year's Resolutions. Sounds silly, I know, but sometimes just the way you talk to yourself and choose to see things makes all the difference in the world. They say it takes 3 weeks to form a new habit or lifestyle change, and for me, that's been about right. Now that the Holidays are behind us, and life is finally back to normal, I do have some personal changes I'd like to make. For one, I need to up my water game. I actually drink a TON of water, but it's always in the form of what I call "Snob Water". You know, those fancy, flavored seltzer waters that come in pretty cans and cost way too much? Yep. Those. I spend entirely too much on those, and don't drink nearly enough plain old water. This is a habit I'm trying to curb because not only do these waters cost an arm and a leg to buy regularly, they also produce a lot of unnecessary waste. As a fairly eco-conscious consumer, I care about the environment and want to create better, Earth friendly habits. Single use vessels are just not it, and it can take single use plastics up to 400 YEARS to break down. No bueno. This is where the Genesis Hydration System from Zak! Designs swoops in to save the day! If you're not familiar with Zak!, I highly recommend checking them out. They have a wide range of fun, yet functional tableware and drinkware for the whole family. Their designs are aesthetically pleasing, durable, and built to last. They even have amazing products with the kiddos in mind, too! People all over the world are embracing the idea of using reusable water bottles instead of disposable containers. Because different activities call for different types of bottles, however, people are forced to buy a wide assortment of reusable bottles to ensure they have the right bottle for every occasion. The new Genesis collection of beverageware from Zak Designs is set to change the way people look at water bottles by giving them the freedom to customize their bottles based on their daily activities. The new patent-pending Genesis collection includes an assortment of bottle sizes and colors in both vacuum-insulated, double-wall stainless steel as well as durable Tritan material. At the heart of these innovative water bottles, however, is the Versa lid that features a silicone drinking straw on one side of the lid and a chug spout on the other. This unique feature gives people the freedom to use the same bottle whether they are sipping casually at their desk or quench their thirst in a hurry after a workout. The silicone straw has a push-button flip-up lid, and the straw can be removed for easy cleaning in the dishwasher. The chug spout has a carrying loop that keeps the cap attached to the bottle and also makes it easy to clip the bottle onto bags or backpacks. And because the Genesis bottles feature Zak’s Omni-Lid Technology, all of the lids are completely interchangeable with any of the Genesis water bottles. How cool is that?! I absolutely love this innovative, space saving system, and getting my water down has never been easier. I like infusing water with fruit and letting it chill, and then sipping all day while I work and go about my daily routine. When working out or hiking, I tend to hit my water hard, and the chug lid feature definitely helps out with that when I need some hydration, fast. These interchangeable lids are truly the bomb dot com, and I can't believe someone didn't come up with this sooner! Since it's winter and I'm always freezing cold, I love the Stainless Steel Genesis bottle just as much. I usually have it full of piping hot coffee, or even hot cocoa if the mood strikes. This bottle keeps hot drinks hot and cool drinks icy cold for up to 24 hours. Overall, I am absolutely loving my Genesis bottles by Zak!, and they have become an integral part of my day. Whether it's hot coffee or icy cold water, I stay hydrated all day long, and without all the waste associated with single use plastics. These are awesome for the planet, and awesome for my cupboard space, too! With the flexibility that Genesis provides, there’s no more need to have cupboards overflowing with different types of water bottles. Finally there is one bottle that people can take with them in the car, to the office, and even to the gym. It’s a new dawn for hydration, and the future definitely looks bright! Connect with Zak!
