NatGeo Kids Weird But True T-Shirts Exclusively at @Crazy8 Plus Giveaway #ad #Crazy8Kid 6/75/24/2016 ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples and information to facilitate my post. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.***
As a homeschooling family, we try to find learning opportunities in everything. Sure, the kids learn a lot through their school lessons, but we prefer to be a little more hands-on, encouraging learning even from everyday activities. We love seeing curiosity in the kiddos, and do everything we can to nourish their hunger for knowledge.
One thing the kids absolutely love to do to add to their learning is going to the zoo. They adore animals, and Xander even wants to be a vet when he grows up. He's really got a special way with anything furry! When we hit the zoo, one thing we always make sure to do is read all of the informational plaques and signs with facts about the various species. The kids are constantly amazed by how much they learn in just one outing! Right now, we found another fun way to encourage learning in a fun way. National Geographic Kids has teamed up with the folks at Crazy 8, one of my absolute FAVORITE kids' stores, to bring a great line of T-Shirts that not only look totally fab, but also might teach kids a thing or two about some of their favorite subjects. Sharks, Dinosaurs, the Moon, and even Spiders are featured in the Weird But True T-Shirt line, just to name a few. Each T-Shirt offers a fun graphic as well as a little known fact about the subject. For example, Gorillas burp when they're happy. Who knew?!
These shirts will make their official debut online at Crazy8.com on June 1st. They'll be arriving in stores on June 3rd.
Check out all the fun-tab-ulous designs below:
Another cool thing about these shirts is the fact that with each purchase, customers will also receive a National Geographic Kids Weird But True Fact Pack. This is loaded with little known facts about a world full of topics, from bowling to the solar system, and everything in-between. See this sneak peek below:
We received a couple of Weird But True T-Shirts from the generous folks at Crazy8.com and National Geographic Kids. Sophie chose the Porcupine shirt, and Xander, of course, opted for the burping Gorilla.
These shirts arrived quickly, and we were immediately impressed with their overall quality. The boy's t-shirt is a jersey cotton material similar to what you'd expect to see in most t-shirts. Sophie's shirt is more fitted, and is made from a softer, thinner cotton material. PERFECT for the little girls out there for sure!
Sophie's t-shirt has a picture of a porcupine, and reads: "A baby porcupine is called a porcupette." Xander's t-shirt has a gorilla, and it reads: "Gorillas burp when they're happy."
My kiddos are absolutely in love with these tops. Sophie loves hers because not only is it cute, it's also very comfortable.
Xander loves his because he likes Gorillas, and it talks about burping. What little boy could resist that?!
We're definitely fans of the Weird But True T-Shirt Line, sold exclusively at Crazy8.com and Crazy 8 stores. This partnership with National Geographic Kids is absolutely genius, and is a great way to encourage kids to be curious about the world around them. Learning made fun AND fashionable. It just doesn't get any better than that!

My inner six-year-old thinks the shirt about burping gorillas is hilarious. My actual kid, however, would probably go for the baby porcupine shirt.
