Were you a shy, awkward, insecure kid? Were your teen and preteen years memories you'd much rather leave in the dust?
Boy, can I relate! I never felt like I fit in anywhere, and I certainly never felt that I was pretty. In fact, I never felt I was good enough at all. Thank goodness for Glowing Up, right? It's amazing what difference a few years can make..... Girls Trip’s Regina Hall and Black-ish’s Marsai Martin both star as Jordan Sanders — Hall as the take-no-prisoners tech mogul adult version of Jordan and Martin as the 13-year-old version of her who wakes up in her adult self’s penthouse just before a do-or-die presentation. Insecure’s Issa Rae plays Jordan’s long-suffering assistant April, the only one in on the secret that her daily tormentor is now trapped in an awkward tween body just as everything is on the line. Little is an irreverent new comedy about the price of success, the power of sisterhood and having a second chance to grow up — and glow up — right. Will Packer, blockbuster producer of Girls Trip, the Ride Along franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office, including Night School, No Good Deed and Think Like a Man, brings an all-new perspective to the body-swap comedy. Check out the official trailer below:
To help celebrate the release of this new, must-see comedy dedicated to glowing up right, I received a super fun Little Glow Up Challenge pack. This included this adorable tank, silky sleep mask, and even a really handy nail file, too.
My challenge? To post evidence of my own personal "Glow Up". So here it is....A bad yearbook pic from the mid-90s with bad hair, goofy overall outfit, and absolutely no confidence to be found. The next photo? That was taken this morning. Yeah, I can see a definite change here, if I do say so myself!
This was a lot of fun, and just makes me more eager to check out Little when it hits the big screen on April 12th!
Little is directed by Tina Gordon (writer, Drumline) with a story by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip) and a screenplay by Oliver and Gordon, based on an idea by teen actress Martin. The film is produced by Packer and his producing partner James Lopez and by Kenya Barris (Girls Trip, Black-ish), and is executive produced by Preston Holmes (Night School), Hall, Marsai Martin and Josh Martin. I have changed tremendously from my thoughts as a teenager and I am only 25. I don't like to go to loud concerts anymore and prefer a quiet evening at home.
