Kyle thrives in a public school environment. He is very social, and an Honor Roll student. He loves participating in extracurricular clubs and activities, and he is at his best when he's surrounded by friends.
Sophie? Not so much. She's leaps and bounds beyond your typical Kindergartener, and would be horribly bored in a traditional classroom. After having her take a pre-K assessment, we decided that she would thrive being taught at home, where she can freely work ahead and explore the things that interest her the most.
Every child is different. Each has their own unique personality, and their own interests. Now that we're in the Holiday season, one thing seems to be universally true: Kids are SUPER distracted! Maybe it's knowing that a vacation from school is coming up, or perhaps they have visions of Sugar Plums dancing in their heads. There are things parents can do to help kids stay interested and engaged, even during the busiest, most magical time of the year.
Here are some tips to help kids to shine their brightest during the Holiday season and all year long:
2) Creative catalyst. Inspiration can strike anywhere from the bus to the playground. Give your kids the tools they need to capture it with a small sketch pad and a supply of colored pencils. Keep a compact set of supplies in their backpack so they put every idea to paper every time!
3) Music motivation. It doesn’t matter if your style is hip-hop, alternative or country, nothing defines your style and gets you moving like music. Monster N-Tune on-ear headphones brings your favorite music, movies and games to life with unmatched clarity and depth; hand-tuned with precision and bass designed to blow you away. Their compact sleek colorful design completes any style and will fit perfectly in a backpack.
4) Stylish security blanket. Every kid has it, that one piece of clothing that makes them feel like a king or queen. Put that shirt, scarf or hat – whatever it is – into their backpack so they can easily sport it whenever they need an extra confidence booster at school!
