A week or so ago, I shared a post about a local man named Corey. Corey was murdered on November 9th, and he leaves behind a fiance and small children. When I learned about this family losing such an important piece so close to the Holidays, my heart literally broke. I can't even imagine the pain, anger, grief and confusion these folks are going through right now. 

I decided that I was going to do something to help. No, I cannot bring Corey back to his loving family. I wish I had a magic wand that was capable of such feats. They need time to heal, pick up the pieces, and learn how to live their "new normal".

While the lockets are made on-site, customers can take creative control from the comfort of their living room, not just choosing the picture, but designing all aspects of the locket from engraving to embellishing. 

The very generous folks at PicturesOnGold.com got to work right away creating some beautiful keepsake photo jewelry featuring a photo of Corey. They sent a photo locket for Tia, Corey's fiance, as well as some photo pendants for the kids. How awesome is that?! 

These items arrived with lightning speed, and were beautifully packaged in these nice little gift boxes. 

As you can see, the quality of workmanship is amazing. The jewelry itself is high quality sterling silver, and it's nice and shiny. Definitely very good quality workmanship for an affordable price! 

Of course the most special part about these items would have to be the inclusion of Corey's smiling face.

I have to be honest, I didn't have any great photos of Corey....Most of his photos were clearly taken using a phone, so they weren't high-resolution AT ALL. I sent a few pictures, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best. 

The results? Well, let's just say they brought tears to my eyes. Here is Corey, immortalized forever for his family in this special jewelry. There is so much detail, and they came out better than I could have possibly imagined.
