Do you enjoy playing games with your family? We sure do! In fact, as a hip, homeschooling family, games are interwoven into our everyday lives. If they're fast-paced, educational games? Even better.

You see, I'm a firm believer that kids learn more efficiently when they're having fun doing it, so I'm always looking for ways to shake things up a little. Family game nights with a focus on educational games always fit the bill perfectly. Plus, quality time with the kids? Added bonus!

So when RoosterFin Games reached out to me to introduce me to their amazing, teacher created family games, I was definitely excited! Teachers GET kids, man. They do. So I was excited to see that Joe, a former teacher, brought his expertise to the table to create fun, simple to learn games that also help fine tune skills kids need to thrive.

(Math. He sneaks math into these games, folks.)

RoosterFin Games offers a great variety of games, so you're sure to find the perfect games to enjoy with your family, or for gifts this Holiday season!

We received this super fun bundle of best-sellers from RoosterFin to check out for ourselves. Included were Monkeys Up, Ninja Squirrels, and Mighty Pig Tug.

I just love these funky, animal themes, by the way. What kid doesn't love monkeys, squirrels, and pigs, after all? I can't think of a better way to bring on the giggles than by including kids' favorite, silly animals in game time!

I'd love to tell you about these games, so keep reading!

Monkeys Up™:
2017 Game of the Year Award by Creative Child Magazine.

Monkeys Up™  is the game that will have you going bananas! Players compete to get the best score by flipping, switching, and stealing monkeys. Each monkey has a value hidden under its feet that is only revealed when flipped. Victory will come to the player who switches, steals, and flips the best. You will find yourself laughing head over heels until all of your monkeys are up!

Players: 1-6
Ages: 6 to adult
Skills: Memory, Strategy

Contents:
18 Plastic Monkeys
1 Cube
Simple Instructions

My kids can't get enough of this game. Sure, it looks simple, and it is....But sometimes, simplicity is good. Sophie and Xander really loved the act of flipping and stealing monkeys, and they don't even try to kill each other in the process.

RoosterFin gets mad brownie points for that.

This simple, fast paced game is perfect for kids of all ages, and definitely helps them practice their math and critical thinking skills. I think it's safe to say that my littles are bananas for this game.

Mighty Pig Tug™ is the wild game of pig tug-of-war, and is a newer addition to the RoosterFin family of games!

It's the most prize championship of the year. The pigs, large and small, come together to test their strength against other pig teams in competition. Each player must build the best three-pig team, but watch out, pigs can be quickly pulled into the mud. It's a simple strategy card game that suits all ages, from kids, teens, college students, parents, and grandparents.

Players: 2-6
Ages: 7 to adult
Skills: Logic, Strategy

Contents:
73 Playing Cards
6 Ropes
1 Mud Pit
Simple Instructions

This is actually Xander's favorite game to play with his sister. They really have a blast trying to win the swine-o-licious game of Tug of War. This game, while simple, helps kids to employ logic and a winning strategy to help their Piggy pals win the war and avoid being pulled into the mud!

Ninja Squirrels is the game of color matching, nut snatching fun! Ninja Squirrels are fast food fighters. They race to gather acorns to fill their dens before the winter. To help them grab the most acorns, players take turns flipping cards. When there is a color match, be the first to snatch the correct nut. Collect the most acorns to win!

Players: 1-4
Ages: 7 to adult

Skills: Color Identification, Motor Skills

Contents:
60 Cards
4 Ninja Character Cards
4 Battle Ring Pieces
20 Acorns
Simple Instructions

Now THIS game is a fast-paced, action-packed game sure to bring out the competitive nature in your friends and family members. This is a simple game, but requires quick thinking and action. We are definitely loving this one, and love the fact that it brings on tons of laughter every time we play. For the record, Sophie is one heck of a quick acorn snatcher, and seems to win quite often!

Overall, we're absolutely bonkers for our RoosterFin board games. Not only are they simple to learn and easy enough for even the youngest family members to play, they also help fine tune critical thinking and math skills. As a homeschool family, this matters a lot.

If you're looking for some great games this Holiday season, definitely check out RoosterFin Games! They've got something for everyone!
