Does anyone have any food allergies or sensitivities in their home? Or perhaps just picky tastebuds? Maybe members of your household have a special diet and are avoiding or eliminating certain products, or swapping them out for healthier choices?

Let's be real here. Prepping, cooking, and serving your family a nutritious meal that suits everyone's tastebuds, allergies, and mood can more than just take extra time... it's exhausting at times!

Thanks to a Pinterest recipe gone wrong, Gail Becker founded CAULIPOWER -- America's #1 better-for-you pizza. Gail's desire to feed her family a celiac friendly, easy and tasty meal lead her to create one of the crispiest, most delicious cauliflower crust pizzas on the market.

After seeing the success of the-little-pizza-that-could, she decided to expand her veggie empire, creating Sweet PotaTOASTS and CAULIPOWER Tortillas. All ready to eat in 15 minutes or less, CAULIPOWER's suite of products are a simpler way to get your family to be veggie-first.

We recently received an assortment of CAULIPOWER's best selling products, and I'd love to share our experience. This was our very first time taking on a cauliflower-crust pizza, and we had questions....And doubts. How did it go? Well, keep reading and find out.....

My kids LOVE toast. A lot. In fact, my 8 year old son asks for toast constantly, but I don't always allow him to have more because toasted bread isn't exactly overly nutritious. I, like most moms, prefer my kids' meals and snacks to have a bit more substance and nutritional value. One cannot survive off of toast alone, even if they would like to try.....

Anyway.

Since toast is such a huge hit here, I was very excited to try these PotaTOASTS, which are basically sliced sweet potatoes that can be used in place of plain, boring old bread.

Xander loves French Toast. I couldn't really do that, as these are toasted in a frozen state and can't really be a proper "sponge" for French Toast ingredients. This is a completely different thing. I did, however, find a compromise that made him just as happy.

I toasted our PotaTOASTS in the toaster oven till nice and crisp, and then I sprinkled them with a cinnamon sugar and butter mixture and toasted for another couple of minutes. Then, we topped them with some pure Maple Syrup.

I was absolutely shocked that this was a hit. Xander is usually picky and doesn't like to deviate much from the norm. He loved these, though, and actually thought the sweet potato slices were better than regular bread.

Score!

These are very versatile and can be used in a lot of ways, from breakfasts like this to appetizers, "sandwiches", and more!

Next, I tried the CAULIPOWER Margherita Pizza.

I admit it....I was scared...Okay, more nervous than scared. I had questions and I had some doubts. As a bona-fide bread lover who could probably stand to cut back on the carbs if we're being totally honest, I was nervous about a crust made from veggies.

Yes, I'd heard all the hype from my dieting and vegetarian/Vegan friends. Yes, I was told these were very good.

I was still skeptical, since the last time I was told how great a "healthy" food would be, it tasted like cardboard and wasn't satisfying at all. That's a whole different post, though.

We prepared our pizzas as directed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, crisp crust, melty cheese, and it actually looked and smelled like pizza.

That was promising.

Of course the most important part of the equation is how it tastes....I honestly wasn't expecting to like these. I was low-key scared that they would be flavorless discs of nothingness.

I was wrong. I stand corrected. Well played, CAULIPOWER. Well played.

These better-for-you pizzas actually taste pretty darn good. The crust is crisp and you can't tell that they're made with cauliflower at all. The sauce is nice and robust. The cheese, creamy and fresh and perfectly melted. The herbs flavorful, tomatoes juicy.....This was a great alternative to traditional pizza, and we couldn't even tell much of a difference. We certainly couldn't tell it was healthy, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Overall, we're definitely pretty pleased with our CAULIPOWER experience. Both lines of products were full of flavor, easy to prepare, and left everyone happy. We will definitely be adding these products to our meal rotation!

If you've been skeptical about the cauliflower pizza craze, try these! Really, please try them! I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as we were.
