Do you enjoy grocery shopping?
I know. Weird question, right? Well, I'm one of those weird people that actually enjoys going to get groceries. Not only does it get me out of the house, it allows me to plan what delicious meals I'll prepare for my family throughout the week. The only thing I hate about shopping, particularly at ALDI? Making sure everything is bagged well, secure, and not rolling aimlessly around the trunk of the car. Things can break, breads can end up crushed, and things can even got lost, just to be discovered later....Sometimes, much later....Eww. Like many people, we try our best to avoid single use plastics, and opt for reusable bags. Not all reusable bags are created equal, though. Have you ever wished for a simple, streamlined solution that's durable, strong, and keeps your groceries perfectly organized from cart to trunk? Meet the Lotus Trolley Bag. The patented Lotus Trolley Bag features egg and wine pockets, an insulated cooler bag, mesh bottoms to prevent mold after spills and a faster, easier and more organized method of bagging groceries. Our four-bag system is versatile for other uses and rolls up to the size of a yoga mat, while these multi-purpose produce bags are great for storing fruits, veggies and more.
Lotus Bag comes in 2 convenient sizes: The standard trolley bag that fits most of your grocery stores like Giant Eagle, Marc's, ACME, etc. Then there's the extra wide version Club Cart version that is made just for Club stores like Costco, Sam's Club, ALDI, HEB & BJ's.
In addition to these super handy trolley bags, Lotus also offers some amazing, reusable produce bags. These bags are breathable, easy to use for everyone, and keep your produce from rolling around due to their drawstring closure. These bags are made from a strong, nylon mesh, and you can even rinse your produce right in the bag! How neat is that?!
We received both sets of Trolley Bags, as we shop at several different stores to maximize our savings. Our go to store is ALDI, though. Since we started shopping at ALDI, we've shaved hundreds of dollars off of our monthly grocery expenses. We couldn't wait to try these out at our local ALDI store in Stow, Ohio.
While these bags are designed to be velcroed together, conveniently secured to the handle of the cart, my kids wanted to do things a little differently. They wanted to put the bags in another cart, add their own snack items, and follow us throughout the store like a mini-caravan.
Much to my surprise, this worked out well, and didn't complicate things nearly as much as I had anticipated it would. In fact, it allowed me to see every single item the kids placed into their cart. No sneaking items. No cookies hiding under healthy groceries. This system, while unconventional, worked out well. When it was time to check out, we just unloaded their cart along with our own, and then got to work bagging our groceries in the Lotus Trolley Bag before heading out to the car.
Overall, we are absolutely in love with these bags. They are quite literally a game changer, especially if you shop at ALDI. These bags are not only beautiful to look at, they also are super strong, easy to transport, and make bringing the groceries inside easier than ever.
We really love the pockets for eggs, wine, and the insulated bag for our refrigerated and frozen goods. This will be incredibly handy in the warmer months when we don't want things like ice cream to melt on the way home! The kids love these bags as well, because they can do their own "grocery trips" by adding their preferred snacks without having to sneak around. They also love pushing their cart around with us and helping to load these bags with groceries. If you're looking for an ingenious way to make your shopping easier than ever, while reducing the waste that single use plastics create, definitely check out the Lotus Trolley Bag. These take shopping to a whole new level, and would make a fantastic gift for your eco-conscious loved ones! How to Connect :

Shop organically. Shop the outer edge of the grocery store.

Just like grocery shopping my best tip for Christmas shopping is to make a list and stick to it. There is nothing worse than hitting the mall and wandering around aimlessly which was me last night, lol.

Make a list and stick to it - don't make impulse buys (unless it is a REALLY good sale on something you will use).

My best shopping tips is to have a list and organize it the best you can in the way you will come across it in the store. I also always arrange my cart so the heavier stuff like drinks are at the front of the cart.

Best tip... don't shop with the kids. I always spend more when they come.

I make a list of the days of the week and put what we are having under each day and what items we need for the recipes. It has saved us so much money! We also switched from Meijer to ALDI which has saved us a lot too.
