Growing up I think we all must have had a favorite teacher of ours. That one teacher who inspired us the most and taught us to not limit our potential and reach our goals.
Tom over at Tom's Take On Things remembers his favorite teacher. Her name was Mrs. Krnac, his 5th-grade teacher from Willow Elementary School in Cleveland, Ohio. Tom attributes her to teaching him that nothing was impossible and that a dream could come true if you work hard enough at it.
Thinking about teachers from the past, and those who are teaching today, Tom wanted to do a giveaway that honors them for the sacrifices, dedication, and devotion they gave us and the students that are being taught today.
My favorite teacher was Debby West, my middle school chorus teacher. She took me under her wing and was there for me when no one else was. She literally treated me like a mother treats her children, and always joked that she was given a daughter even if it wasn't blood relation. She passed away a few years ago, and I miss her terribly.
One winner will receive both a $15 Staples Gift Card and a $10 Amazon Gift Card if you win this giveaway. You can keep it for yourself, shop for your kids, or maybe even donate it to a teacher who might need it. Giveaway is open to the U.S. Only and ends on 8/23 at 11:59 pm EST. Winner will have 48 hours to respond to winning email. Participating Bloggers are not responsible for prize delivery.

My daughter had a preschool teacher that was probably the best teacher in the world. This teacher has taught special needs children for over 30 years. My daughter had a lot of developmental delays and challenges. This teacher helped her more than any doctor or therapist. She completely changed my daughter's life and put her on the right track for success in school. She is still a huge part of our life. She just came to my daughter's ballet recital a couple of days ago.

Hmmm, I had lots of teachers from moving around. One comes to mind and I don't remember her name though. Home Economics teacher when I was in 8th or 9th grade would open her classroom really early for us students who were dropped off early (early as in 5 AM early). It would be cold (it was an outdoor style school, no halls, etc.), so she would open her Home Economic classroom for all of us students and make hot cocoa and breakfast teaching us as well; there were around a dozen ovens in the class. I remember the dark mornings, huddled in jackets with others sitting on benches. Then she came and did that for all of u s, she was our guardian angel.
