***Disclosure: I received product access and information to facilitate my post. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** Today I'm gonna talk about something sensitive in nature. Something that we all do, but many won't dare speak about. Yep. We're going there. We're going straight to the toilet for this one. Everyone does it. Pee, poo, #1, #2....No matter what you call it, it's reality for literally all of us. As organic beings, we create waste. And then, we have to clean ourselves up after that waste is expelled. For many of us, we clean up using toilet paper. Toilet paper isn't all created equal, though. It can also leave lint behind, and doesn't always leave you as clean as you might hope. Not to mention, toilet paper is really pretty expensive. What if I told you there was a better way to clean yourself after using the bathroom? A way that would leave you cleaner, but also reduce the amount of toilet paper used, saving a ton of money in the long run? It's true! The answer? A bidet. Yes. One of those fancy "water fountains" that spray your nether regions clean. While these are used and loved worldwide, there seems to be some stigma surrounding the use of bidets here in the US, and I'd love to talk about this. I'd love to tell you about our experiences using a bidet for the first time ever. We tried the LUXE Bidet W85 Dual-Nozzle Self-Cleaning Bidet Attachment. This is a very affordable, basic bidet, and is great for those who want to check out the hype without spending on ton of money on fancier models. The W85 is a dual-nozzle, non-electric mechanical bidet attachment that uses fresh water to reduce the use of toilet paper and increase hygiene. The W85 features dual nozzles for rear and frontal wash. The frontal, or feminine wash is a gentler, lower-angled spray that is useful for monthly cycles and is highly recommended by new or expecting mothers. This is PERFECT during that time of the month, ladies! The W85 is equipped with a chrome-plated water pressure control knob that allows the user to activate and adjust water pressure. With clearly defined settings, the bidet is user-friendly and can easily be operated by both children and the elderly. The bidet features a convenient, hygienic nozzle guard gate for added protection and easy maintenance. The hygienic nozzle guard gate ensures that the bidet is always ready for clean operation and can open for easy access to the nozzles. When the bidet is not in use, the nozzles retract for hygienic storage allowing for double protection behind the nozzle guard gate. The W85 also features an innovative self-cleaning sanitary nozzle that streams fresh water directly over the nozzle for rinsing before or after use. We found this was SUPER easy to install, as it only took about 30 minutes. All tools needed are provided, and the instructions were simple and easy to understand. This bidet is universally compatible with standard 2 part toilet models, making it a great choice for our home.
I especially love that the pressure is adjustable, so you can dial up the water flow to deal with whatever mess life brings. Need to remove a lot of mess? You can set it on high and blast any poo away. Need something gentler? You can choose a lower setting for less messy needs. Either way, you're left super clean, without having to use a ton of toilet paper to get that way. I do wish this unit heated the water some before it hits the cheeks, but cool water is something you actually get used to pretty quickly. I'm one of those people that's always cold, though, so warmer water would be amazing for me, personally. It's definitely not a deal breaker by any means, and I would absolutely recommend this product if you're looking to take the leap and try a bidet. You can learn more about this and other bidets on the LUXE Bidet website.
