One thing any parent can tell you about having a baby is that those adorable, squirmy little people don't come with instructions. And just like every pregnancy is different, each baby is different, too! I know all 3 of my kids had very different personalities when they were babies, and things that worked like a charm to calm and soothe my oldest didn't necessarily work so well when my younger kids came along.
So what is a parent to do? Well, first off, throw away any so-called instruction books. You know your baby better than anyone else, and only you provide that magic touch that seems to heal all boo-boos and makes everything better. It's also a good idea for new parents to do their research when it comes to choosing the safest, gentlest products for their baby. There are so many different options in baby care products, and we all just want what's best for our babies. Some products are chock-full of chemicals that can be irritating to sensitive skin, especially when it comes to diapers and baby wipes. We actually chose to cloth-diaper for the most part, but we did keep disposables on hand for babysitters or to use while we were on the road. Some diapers and wipes did the job, while others caused redness and irritation. It was truly a game of trial and error, but eventually, we found products that worked well for our babies' needs.
My babies aren't babies anymore, but we still choose to keep baby wipes on hand. They come in super-handy for a multitude of purposes, such as cleaning sticky hands and faces, wiping off surfaces, or even providing a little extra help after the kids use the potty. (This is especially true for my 4 year old, Xander. He actually prefers using wipes to toilet paper!)
Recently, we were introduced to bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes. These wipes are gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin, yet substantial enough to provide a great, effortless clean. Made from 100 percent HydroPure water sourced from a 6,000-year-old Canadian glacier, bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes are plant-enriched, biodegradable and non-abrasive toward baby skin. The wipes are gentle and protect skin as they contain 98 percent natural ingredients and are free from harmful ingredients. Here are some quick facts about bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes:
Doing this is important for several reasons. It can help new parents stay on schedule, as well as a reference for times when a child may be in a sitter's care. Another reason to log your baby's feeding and diapering is the fact that this data could prove handy during pediatrician visits.
Also included is a handy, portable wipes case. It's got a zipper closure, which allows the wipes to retain their moisture. This case is small enough to fit into your purse, diaper bag, or even the glove compartment of your car.
Now let's talk about the wipes themselves! These wipes are generously sized at 8"x7". They are also nice and thick, which definitely earns some major brownie points here. I really hate thin, flimsy wipes, and have had incidents where a flimsy wipe left me with poop on my hand. bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes are nice, thick, and strong, so these accidents are a lot less likely to occur.
Another thing I absolutely love about these wipes is how gentle they are. They contain 98% natural ingredients, including 100% HydroPure™ water sourced from glaciers and Plant-Derived Vitamins A, B-Complex, D, Omega-3, and -6. This makes bloom BABY the perfect choice even for those with sensitive skin issues. They're even safe for babies with Rash & Eczema prone skin! Overall, I am definitely loving bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes. Sure, my "babies" aren't so small anymore, but we still get plenty of use out of these wipes. They clean up messy faces, sticky hands, and we even use them to wipe down tables after meal time. They're definitely versatile, and since they don't have any questionable ingredients, I don't ever have to worry about what the kids may be coming into contact with. If you're a new parent, or even a seasoned pro, I'd definitely recommend checking out bloom BABY Sensitive Wipes. They're strong, durable, and can tackle all the messes that babies bring. Plus, they're gentle and soothing for any skin type. Definitely a winning product, in my opinion! How to connect :

My best tip for a happy baby is to treat them like a human being. Seems like a no brainer. Hug a lot, love a lot, play a lot, come when they cry, smile at them, and remember YOU are their very first impression of what the world is like.

Change a babies diaper immediately to prevent diaper rash. Keep a baby clean and dry. Never start using a pacifier unless truly need one and if you do try to get rid of it as soon as possible. I took my daughter's away when she had her first cold and couldn't breathe. She could not use one during this time and after that she did not miss it. Perfect time to get rid of one and break the habit.

Babies do not come with instructions. Take your time, be patient and do not expect everything to be all roses.

Feed them, bath them, play with them...feed them again and put them in their bed...they will go to sleep on their own and form that habit

Love them when they're babies. They grow up too quickly, have families of their own and forget.

You learn what different cries mean. Listen, some are from hunger, discomfort, soiled diaper. Sometimes a baby is just bored. The quicker you can tell, the happier you and the baby are.

When they're newborn they're the boss. Sleep when they sleep, learn the different cries and stay calm.

When they're newly born it's frightening. Trust your instincts and don't be afraid to ask for help. And I wish that the hospitals would give a common question asked pamphlet or keep you more than one day. That's a lot to go through and be sent home right away.

You'll be sleep deprived and frustrated. If help or meals are offered, take it. And, if you get the baby blues, don't be ashamed to admit it. Your body has gone through quite a bit.

Ask for help when you need it! It can be stressful at times, and sometimes you need to take a break for yourself for a few minutes. I'm due with my 3rd daughter in April, lol I wish the nap when the baby naps things still applied when you have a toddler, too. She rarely ever naps anymore, so I'm lucky to have family close to help out when needed.

Don't talk baby talk to them. And remember even though they're yours and you love them. Strangers don't know them. Be mindful when taking them out in public. Often parents let the kids throw a tantrum or whatever without thinking about others.

My best tip is to not panic. It can be so scary being a parent when you are responsible for a baby but just stay calm and realize that there are going to be some bumps in the road but in the end everything turns out fine.
