My kids love potatoes as a side for just about any meal. Okay, that's a lie...The grown-ups in the house love them just as much! Whether it's baked potatoes, diced potatoes seasoned with herbs and sauteed in butter, my famous roasted garlic mashed potatoes, or French fries, we love them all. Potatoes are a natural choice because they're filling, tasty, and so incredibly versatile.

While I prepare most of our meals from scratch, I do rely on some prepackaged and frozen foods for convenience. On a busy weeknight, these are true time savers and they allow me to get dinner on the table in record time. After all, I do need to feed the minions quickly. If they have to wait too long on their meals, they get restless and bad things happen.

I happen to be very picky about what frozen products I purchase, since I want my family to get the best possible nutrition without sacrificing flavor. If the ingredients list has loads of preservatives and things I cannot pronounce, chances are, I won't be feeding that product to my family. I generally try and go the natural or organic route whenever possible.

That's why we choose the All Natural potato products from McCain. These are delicious, easy to make, and won't leave you feeling like you just ate some kid's science experiment. They're made from all natural ingredients, and you can definitely taste the difference in quality.

Here are a couple of quick and simple meal ideas featuring McCain products. My toddlers love food that is fun and whimsical. McCain Smiles are my go to potato side when I am feeding the little ones because well, they're adorable smiley faces. And what kid doesn't like smiley faces?! Plus, these are absolutely delicious. They're crispy on the outside and have a mashed potato inside. Yum!

They're also super easy to prepare. Just pop them in the oven, set your timer, and walk away. In the time it takes me to break up dueling toddlers and kiss their battle boo-boos better, change a diaper, and fetch a sippy cup of juice, my McCain Smiles are hot and ready to be devoured.

Here's the lunch I made for Sophie and Xander the other day. Some crisp fish sticks, green beans, and of course, the McCain Smiles! They happily gobbled these up in no time flat. They even ate the green beans. (Score for Mommy!)

I also have a teen. A teen boy, at that. As you may recall from other posts, this child has the appetite of an army of Sumo wrestlers. Of course he doesn't look like one, since his legs are apparently hollowed out to hold the massive amount of food he eats!

Kyle is always ready for an after school meal...oops, "snack" within 5 seconds of walking in the door. McCain Sweet Potato Fries are perfect for occasions like these because they're super quick, and they pack a good nutritional punch. You know...Because I can't have him dying of starvation and the sheer exhaustion that comes from being an 8th grader before his chores are done and his homework is completed. Plus, these just taste amazing! If you've never tried sweet potato fries, I would highly recommend them. I don't even LIKE sweet potatoes, and I love these!

Again, these just go into the oven and before you know it, they're hot and crispy and ready to be inhaled.

Kyle was quite delighted with his after school snack yesterday. I made him a crispy fish filet sandwich topped with baby greens, cheese, and homemade tartar sauce, a nice heap of McCain Sweet Potato Fries, and a side of ketchup. I wanted to give him a nice homemade aioli, but we wanted no part of that. This child puts ketchup on everything!

This is just a couple of ways we love incorporating McCain potatoes into our meals. Of course there are many more delicious ways to enjoy the fresh taste and all natural goodness of these yummy products! (Think burger night....Hmm...Perhaps that's what I will do for dinner tonight!)

Do you love potatoes as much as we do? Have you tried McCain's All Natural Potato sides? How do you like to serve them? I'd love to hear about it!
