With 2 toddlers, plenty of errands to run, and limited space in the trunk of my car, outings can be more than a little stressful. We've had to literally play "Trunk Tetris" to try and fit everything after shopping trips. A few times, we've had to have shopping bags in our laps because our stroller just dominated the trunk. Yep, not fun...Not fun at all.

For the longest time, we used a bulky, heavy, and cumbersome stroller. You know...The kind that comes as a travel system with infant carrier? While this was a necessity and a God-send when my babies were smaller, lately we've found that it just takes up too much space that could be used for other things, like groceries.

That's why I was so excited to learn about a brand new modern baby gear company, Baby Cargo. While they may be the new kids on the block, they stand out for many reasons. First, they're dedicated to providing parents with super-stylish, easy to clean baby gear that offers superior performance without breaking the bank. If you've noticed the cost of fashion-forward baby gear, you've probably suffered momentary bouts of sticker shock. I know I sure have, especially since I have 2 babies that are a mere 12 months apart in age. Since I've needed to double-up on much of our baby essentials, I am always looking for a bargain. However, I am never willing to sacrifice quality to save a few dollars. With Baby Cargo, I get great value and products that are built to last.

Another thing I love about this company is that they're run by a team of designers who are also parents. Have you ever noticed that when it comes to baby gear, many of the more aesthetically pleasing designs offer very little as far as convenience features? Well, so did the folks at Baby Cargo. They've diligently worked to improve must-have products, such as strollers, making them sleek, modern and gorgeous, but also offering features to make any frazzled parent's life easier.

The awesome folks at Baby Cargo sent me one of their 200 Series Lightweight Strollers in the universally flattering Smoke and Mirrors color combination. This is perfect for my family since I have both a little girl and a little boy.

Here are some of the features of the Baby Cargo 200 Series stroller:

Putting baby’s comfort first, Baby Cargo’s 200 Series Stroller is inspired by the durability and versatility of modern home furnishings. With subtly natural tone-on-tone colors, cottony-soft seat and sides, a multi-position backrest, and a water-resistant hood, the 200 brings baby home in style.

  • Ultra-lightweight black matte aluminum frame—sleek and rust free
  • Soft sophisticated textiles, easy to clean
  • Tailored designed back pocket with heavy zippers and a decorative brass Baby Cargo name plate, chic and practical for moms
  • Super compact, easy to fold, perfect for vacations or trips to the shopping mall
  • A multi-position adjustable backrest and adjustable leg rest

And here are some useful product specifications:

  • Product Size  42 inches height x 12 inches wide x 12.5 inches deep
  • Product Weight : 14 lbs.
  • Seat Dimensions: 12.5 inches wide and 18 inches tall with 28 inch clearance to canopy
  • Carrying Capacity: Up to 50lbs.
  • Age guideline: Birth & Up
  • Easy to carry with shoulder strap and handle
  • Five-point safety belt
  • Infinite recline positions
  • Adjustable canopy
  • Under stroller cargo basket
  • Includes rain cover

When our stroller arrived, which was very quickly, by the way, the first thing I noticed is that it truly is lightweight. This stroller only weighs around 13.7 lbs. In the world of strollers, that's nothing! No more lugging a heavy stroller around everywhere we go!

Another thing I noticed is that, while folded, this stroller is very, very compact. This space saving stroller takes up only a fraction of the space that our other, more bulky stroller does. This means I can finally fit all of my groceries in my trunk without having to ride with a gallon of milk or package of toilet paper in my lap. Big brownie points to Baby Cargo here!

I also love the look of the stroller. It's quite modern, yet traditional at the same time. The appearance is sleek and understated, while remaining elegant and eye-catching. The sun-shade canopy adjusts to several positions and can even be completely removed if you'd like. It really is a very versatile stroller.

Take a look!
Picture
I love the sleek profile of our Baby Cargo stroller!
You'll find the Baby Cargo logo printed on the stroller. This is a nice touch and lets all of the other moms on the playground know where I got this gem of a stroller! I have already received many compliments on our stroller, too!
Picture
The Baby Cargo 200 series stroller also features a convenient cup-holder, perfect for bottled water, sodas, or even a cup of steaming hot coffee. Here in Ohio, it's gotten very cold, very quickly, so a nice hot beverage is a must when I am out and about!
Picture
Another very convenient feature is the integrated storage pouch found right near the handles. This is secured by sturdy snaps, and is perfect for holding wallets, car keys, and even healthy snacks for the kids! The pouch isn't huge, but it does provide ample space for all those essentials! If you need extra cargo space, there's also a basket found underneath the seating area of the stroller. I like to put extra blankets there, since you never know when a chill will set in!
Picture
The seating area of the stroller is very roomy and highly customizable for tots of different sizes. This stroller literally grows with your child and can be used from birth to 50lbs. The straps can be set to varying heights and the seat has several different reclining options. Please pardon the chocolate milk in the photo. My daughter spilled some during a trip to the park! Thankfully, the stroller is very easy to clean and it came right out!
Picture
The leg-rest is adjustable, too!
The wheels on the Baby Cargo are simple, straightforward, and do their job. No, they're not the treaded, all-terrain wheels you see on some strollers, but they do handle grass, gravel, and even mud very well.(They also wipe clean with very little elbow grease.) We've taken it to the park several times, and I have to say, this stroller is very easy to push and doesn't feel clunky. It is easy to turn, and doesn't feel weighted-down by my kids.
Picture
Since fall and winter weather can be quite unpredictable here in North-Eastern Ohio, I really appreciate the rain cover that's included with the Baby Cargo 200 Series stroller. This attaches to the stroller very easily, and keeps baby safe from pounding rain, blizzard conditions, or even cats and dogs. We found this out the hard way. You see, we have 3 playful puppies, and my daughter Sophie loves sitting in her stroller and teasing them. When the rain cover is in place, they can't lick her to death!
Picture
We love our Baby Cargo Stroller, and so do my toddlers. I love it because it's compact, easy to use, and easy to clean. I also love its good looks. The 5-point harness also makes it very, very secure. As always, safety is key when shopping for baby or children's products! My kids love it because it really is comfortable to them. The seating area is nicely padded and gives them a cozy place to relax!

Sophie loves climbing into her stroller, and she even does so in the house. One day, she climbed into her Baby Cargo 200 Series Stroller and watched TV. I guess she likes to lounge around in style and comfort. I can't say I blame her!

Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with this product. It gives me everything that, as a parent, I want in a stroller. And it gives me my trunk back. These would also be the absolute best strollers for airplanes, in case I need to travel with my kids!

The only thing I wish is that Baby Cargo offered side by side double strollers. With 2 toddlers, this would be perfect for us! Maybe someday they'll add that to their product line for parents who have their hands full with more than one child.

A little birdie told me that the folks at Baby Cargo will soon be expanding their line to include high-chairs and play spaces. You can be sure that I will be the first in line when these are released. My highchairs are old, inconvenient, and really darn ugly! I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
