Wow, I cannot believe that it's already October! Here in Ohio, the temperatures are dropping and the leaves are starting to fall from the trees. It's actually really nice, since I don't really like the sweltering heat that summer brings. Since fall is officially upon us, we've got Halloween Fever in my home. My 12 year old is making his own custom get-up using costumes from previous years. His idea is actually pretty cool, since he will be using a Scream mask, a grim reaper robe, and some fake blood and zombie effect make-up. Sophie is going to be a pretty pink princess since, well...She is one! Her costume has an adorable long-sleeved dress with silver thread, a tiara, and even a wand. Yep, my girl is quite the diva, and this year her costume will definitely reflect that! Xander was a little harder to shop for. He's soon to be 2, and is very mellow. (Unless he's tired...Then it's time to watch out!) He makes the funniest faces, some of which make him look like a little old man. When he was a newborn, I affectionately called him my little Magoo! That's why I knew I found the perfect costume when I was browsing the toddler section at Costume Super Center. I found this adorable Garden Gnome costume that comes complete with little red booties and a hat with attached furry eyebrows and beard. Yep, this would be perfect for him! Even my husband thought so! Take a look at how stinking cute this is! The only issue that I've had with the costume is that the hat, while toddler sized, is too small for my son's apparently over-sized noggin. It won't fit over her head properly, so before Halloween, I will have to alter it somehow to make it fit. Still, it's truly precious and totally fits my Xander's style. He makes the perfect midget-sized gnome, don't you think? I cannot wait to take my kids out Trick-Or-Treating in the neighborhood this year! I know they'll be the talk of the town. Especially Xander in his Garden Gnome costume!

My son made the same faces, and funny enough, we called him Mr. Magoo too, later (and still) it some how changed to Mister Mister and stuck. Even funnier, the year my son was 2, he was dressed as a garden gnome for halloween. :) It was super cute. A friend of ours dressed their two year old daughter as the girl gnome. They were adorable together!
