***Disclosure: I received an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood to cover various Disney/ABC events. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** My recent trip to Hollywood for the "Million Dollar Arm" premiere was absolutely amazing. I am STILL telling everyone all about the awesome things I got to do in just a few short days! I And I am telling them that they NEED to go see this inspirational movie. (Yes, I just said NEED, in capital letters. This film is just that good! And I am not even a die-hard baseball fan!) During my stay in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, I was fortunate enough to get the chance to meet and interview the talent of this film. And I have to admit, I may have formed a wee little crush on Madhur Mittal. (You might know him from a little movie called "Slumdog Millionaire". ) What can I say? He reminds me a bit of my Bruno in appearance, and that just made my knees get all weak. What do you think? Do you see it, too? Anyway, we got the opportunity to talk to the dreamy Madhur, as well as Suraj Sharma, known for his phenomenal performance in "Life of Pi". These guys play the key roles in "Million Dollar Arm", since they portray Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh, the first winners of the Million Dollar Arm competition in India.

SIGN-UP HERE With three children, everyday things become more difficult logistically: in the car, the back seat can be cramped when booster seats are required for younger children; at home, there may not be enough bedrooms for one bedroom each; two player computer games cause arguments; frozen food packed in quantities of four are awkward.
For families with two adults, going from two to three children will feel different when you are out on day trips. You’ll notice that when there were two kids and two adults, one adult per child was perfect: you could cross the road safely, hold hands when walking and give your little one every little bit of your attention. Child number three will alter the dynamics completely. But expanding your family means even more fun to be had, a lifetime of entertaining challenges and never a dull moment. After all, tables extend, bunk beds are cheap, there’s always room for an extra stool or bean bag, and the more children you have the more laughter and friendships will be made. The key to keeping three children safe and healthy is planning the meals in advance. If you have time to prepare food earlier in the day, a slow cooker is a priceless piece of equipment. With a little preparation in the morning, a hot meal can be simmering away as soon as you all get home. Not only that, it’s ideal if you have people who are wanting to eat at different times as the food stays hot without overcooking — perfect if the kids want to eat early and the adults want to eat later. A slow cooker is also a good solution for families with children with different tastes. For example, you could make a meat casserole with vegetables and dumplings, or a curry, but pick out the meat for a hot sandwich or wrap for a fussy eater. When shopping, plan meals for the week ahead. If possible, throw in lots of healthy snacks too. When the kids come home from school, they’ll want food immediately and expecting them to wait hours for a meal to cook will turn your little monsters into grumpy menaces, causing lots of problems. Try to have something waiting for them. If you haven’t had time to prepare a meal, this is where the healthy snacks come in: crackers and cheese, nuts, fruit and vegetables can all do the trick. Planning for everybody’s individual tastes will really help you when you are a busy mother of three. Then you can spend less time stressing over the family and more time having fun with them. ***Disclosure: I received an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to cover various Disney/ABC TV events. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** Recently, I was in beautiful Hollywood, California to attend the Million Dollar Arm World Premiere at the glorious El Capitan Theatre. The pre-party was tailgate style, and included food from Subway, Wonderful Pistachios, and the Hollywood legend, Pink's Hot Dogs, just to name a few. (You can check out my "Green Carpet" experience HERE.)
Once the festivities were winding down and the sun was setting on Hollywood Boulevard, it was time to make our way into the theatre to see the movie that the sports world has been buzzing about, "Million Dollar Arm". Imagine my excitement when I realized that not only did I have one of the best seats in the house, we were also seated among the actors who made this film so special. (Madhur Mittal who plays Dinesh Patel was a few seats away, and the hilarious and talented Pitobash who portrays the quirky Indian baseball coach, Amit, was directly behind me.) It was unreal, and the whole theatre buzzed with excitement. And an easy recipe for fresh strawberry mini cupcakes A decade ago, bakeries typically sold an array of goods, from different types of bread to cakes and pastries. It was quite rare for bakeries to specialize in one particular product, however when Sprinkles Cupcakes decided to dispense mini cakes on-the-go in the form of an ATM, the curiosity of miniature baked goods peaked.
The cupcake originated in the nineteenth century, but it wasn’t until the last few years that the world developed an obsession for miniature and bite-sized goods. Homemakers and other bakers alike enjoyed making these smaller versions of cakes because they looked cute and essentially were easier to prepare. Little did they know that this “mini trend” would soon take off in the culinary world. Throughout Park Cakes’ 60-year partnership with M&S, the bakery garnered lots of creative output, such as the 2003 mini bites concept, which is now a cake niche that's market share is worth over 100 million dollars. Several retailers followed in selling their versions of miniature cakes, making cupcakes and other mini cakes mainstream and fundamentally “a pop culture trend in the culinary world,” as eloquently put by All About Cupcakes. After the 52% increase in cupcake consumption from 2010-2011, entrepreneurs observed a new niche that would grant them guaranteed success. Bakers were long aware of the cupcake appeal, yet it wasn’t until several years ago that cupcake industry took a sharp turn and heavily influenced the public with the allure of a miniature cake. In the spirit of celebrating all things mini, here is a simple recipe for fresh strawberry mini cupcakes, courtesy of Baking Bites : Have the oven preheated at 350F. Lightly grease your mini muffin tin (or use paper liners if you have them handy). Combine 1 cup flour, ½ cup and 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp baking powder and ¼ teaspoon salt in a bowl. Cut up 5 tbsp butter into small pieces and combine with the dry mix, and make sure the pieces are no larger than a small pea. Mix in one large egg and 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries. After dividing the batter into the cups, bake the mini cupcakes for 12 to 14 minutes. To make the vanilla buttercream, beat together ½ cup butter at room temperature, 1 ½ tbsp of milk and 2 tsp of vanilla extract. Gradually start mixing in 2-3 cups of confectioner’s sugar until it comes out thick and fluffy. Spread onto the mini cupcakes when they’ve properly cooled. *Disclaimer- I did receive this baby Carrier to review but all opinions are My own! *
I had the amazing chance to review a BabyHawk baby carrier. First off, I have to say that I absolutely loved the print on it! Its gender neutral which I loved. Secondly, I have to say I loved working with this company. They were easy to talk to, sent out the product very fast, and when and if I had a problem figuring things out they were very willing to help me out quickly! I also REALLY loved the fact that this carrier is good for people of all sizes! I am a big girl. I'm quite large to be honest with you so a lot of baby carriers didnt work with my body. They didn't fit me at all if I'm going to be honest with you. This baby carrier fit me so perfectly I wished I had it when both my girls were smaller! It would have made my life so much easier! I personally suggest that every mother should buy this carrier. You can use it in the front, as well as the back which makes it even better! You don't have to use it for just one use! I really like that the carrier holds up to 40 lbs! My youngest loves to be carried around all the time still and it was getting pretty hard on me, with this carrier I can just strap her in and away we go! This is the perfect carrier for any mother with children, especially with little ones that are clingy! Baby Hawk has offered one of our Fans a chance to win a carrier for themselves! The value is 89.95. You are not guaranteed to receive the same print I reviewed. Purple Monster Coupons has partnered up with a few other bloggers to be able to give more people the chance to win the BEST baby carrier in the WORLD!! Open to USA/CAN ends June 5/14 at NOON est When I was in Hollywood for the Million Dollar Arm World Premiere, I was incredibly moved by this inspiring story. In the film, J.B. Bernstein, a struggling sports agent, takes on a seemingly impossible task. He travels to India in search of the next great Major League Baseball pitchers!
Now I know what you're thinking....Baseball? In India? Exactly. At this point, people in India did not know anything about our favorite American past-time, let alone how to throw a winning pitch. But thanks to J.B.'s efforts, this has become a reality. The story of "Million Dollar Arm" features the first Indian baseball players to secure a major league try-out, Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel. This movie is absolutely amazing, and a must-see for the whole family. Even if you're not a baseball fan, I can pretty much guarantee that you will love this movie. You see, it's about so much more than throwing a baseball. It's about following a dream, the importance of family, and even becoming a better person by seeing yourself through someone else's eyes. Check out this trailer, and you'll see what I mean : When I was in Hollywood last week, I got to experience a lot of really amazing things. One of those things was getting to see sneak peeks at some upcoming Disney releases. (Sorry, my lips are sealed, for now!) One of the teasers I CAN tell you about is a live-action version of Cinderella that Disney is working on right now! This exciting take on a classic tale is set to be released in March of 2015. Yep, we've still got quite a ways to go, but I will be sharing tons of info with you as I receive it! Folks, this movie is going to be amazing, and any "Downton Abbey" fans will definitely want to watch this trailer. You just might see some familiar faces! Take a look....This is going to be FANTASTIC!
