Here in Virginia, it has been oppressively hot lately. I'm talking well over 100 sticky, miserable degrees with the heat index! Of course most sensible people would simply stay indoors, surrounded by the arctic blast of the air conditioning. (Okay...Maybe that's just my preference.) Like I said, while most sensible people stay indoors when it feels like a virtual sauna outside, as we all know, children are usually not too sensible. At least not when it comes to outdoor fun in the summer time! My children, like so many, love playing outside. They enjoy climbing and sliding on their Woodland Climber,
catching bugs, and just chasing each other around. But the thing they love the most of all has got to be water play. Whether it be swimming, having water balloon fights, running through the sprinklers, or even having full on water gun fights, if there's water flying, my kids are all about it. When they hear the word "water", they often try and run out the door before I even have the chance to get their sunblock on! Since my kids love getting wet, I was absolutely thrilled when I received the opportunity to review a brand new product from the folks at Aeromax. This company is one of my favorites, since they offer absolutely adorable "Get Real Gear", which are dress up clothes for kids of all ages, infants included! On top of adorable clothing for creative, dramatic play, Aeromax also offers some great toys. We received the Astronaut Space Pack Super Soaking Water Blaster for our review. This is not your ordinary squirt gun by a long shot. As a matter of fact, it's unlike any water gun I have ever seen before.
What makes this water gun so special? Well, for one, it's space themed! This is awesome, since so many little ones have dreams of being an astronaut, or even ambitions to fight aliens, Star Wars style! The Astronaut Space Pack Super Soaking Water Blaster looks like a space-aged ray gun, and even comes equipped with a handy backpack that houses a whopping 1L supply of water. This water is then fed through a hose into the gun itself. What a neat concept!
But the truly awesome things about this toy is that it blasts water over 30 feet and can even shoot in 2 directions at once! This would come in especially handy when alien invaders are attacking from multiple angles!
Kyle, my 12 year old, was all too happy to help me test this product. He's used to having his toddler brother and sister climbing all over him and attacking him, so he was ready to get some revenge. He loved the idea of being able to shoot them with this water gun, and he played the part of a "water sniper" very well. Take a look at his expression! Yes, my kid is a little actor and has a very colorful personality!
Armed and ready to attack!
The "Ammo" is ready to go!
And here are the adorable, yet unsuspecting "alien invaders" that are about to get blasted with a cool, refreshing stream of water, courtesy of Kyle: Alien Hunter. Sophie and Xander are in for quite a surprise on this scorching hot, 100 degree afternoon!

What happened next? Well, watch this quick video to see the Aeromax Astronaut Space Pack Super Soaking Water Blaster in action!
As you can see, my kids LOVE this water blaster! It's so unique, and delivers a powerful blast of water. I love that it can spray in 2 different directions, allowing all 3 of my kids to get in on the action at one time. No one likes feeling left out of the fun, right? This toy is meant to be operated by kids ages 5+, so while my toddlers can't shoot the gun themselves just yet, they can enjoy getting soaked by their 12 year old brother!
Overall, I think this is the perfect addition to summer play time. It can help cool things down on a hot summer day, and it's also a wonderful way to encourage imagination and dramatic play. This toy can also be used in the pool! Oh, I should mention that this great water blaster can be yours for only $15.95. Such a small price to pay for loads of endless fun! So be sure to check out all the great toys Aeromax has to offer! And in the famous words of Han Solo: May the force be with you! ***Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample to facilitate my review.
