Red White and Blue Snack Ideas for Labor Day Weekend #Partner

Woo-Hoo! It's Labor Day Weekend!

What does that mean? Well, for one, summer is pretty much over, and kids are about to head back to school, if they haven't already. (All 3 of my kiddos are already back into the swing of things, as we start school in mid-August here in NE Ohio.) Still, Labor Day Weekend is known for fun, food, and enjoying time with family and friends.

We decided to celebrate by packing up some red, white, and blue snacking options and heading over to the F.A. Sieberling Nature Realm, which is in Akron, OH right next to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. They have an interactive nature center, a rock and herb garden, hiking trails, and more.

Oh, did I mention it's absolutely gorgeous there? The Sieberling Nature Realm is literally the perfect place for a picnic. The kids agreed, so we grabbed our tote filled with Red, White, and Blue snacks and hit the hiking trails to find the perfect snacking spot.

First, though, we stopped inside the Nature Realm Visitors Center to take a potty break as well as a few quick photos. Hey, it's not every day you can pose inside of a massive, hollowed out tree.

Anyway.

We found a beautiful picnic area, surrounded by various greenery...Or is it shrubbery? I'm not a botanist, so I'm not sure, exactly....But there were picnic tables, benches, and lots and lots of plants. It was very scenic.

Once we were done eating, we decided to lazily stroll through the rest of the Nature Realm, taking in all the scents, sights, and sounds. We even got to see some birds and other wildlife. I can't think of a better way to spend this Holiday weekend than with my family, in such beautiful surroundings.
