I absolutely love the rich, warm colors of fall and winter, and I like my surroundings to reflect that. One simple change I like to make is to change out our bedding. You wouldn't believe how much a simple set of bedding can change the look of an entire room! Recently, I discovered some truly gorgeous children's bedding from a Canadian company called Atelier Edele. This eco-friendly brand specializes in artistic, colorful bedding made from 100% super-soft, organic cotton. They offer baby bedding, sleepsacks, and even bedding for kids ages 3-10 and beyond. (They do offer double-sized bedding!) The generous folks at Atelier Edele sent me a stunning Veronique's Peacock Duvet set, as well as a couple of beautiful coordinating accent pillows to check out for myself. Since I requested a double set, this included a duvet, as well as 2 pillow cases. When my set arrived, the first thing I noticed was how amazingly soft the 100% organic cotton sateen is. Really, this is so luxurious against the skin. And as Moms, we only want the best for our children, right? Plus, a child who is wrapped in decadent softness is a child who sleeps well. And let's face it: That's something we're all after! The next thing I noticed is the simple beauty of the design. Veronique's Peacock was designed by a very talented artist, Veronique Fournier, who just happens to be a teacher and a Mom, too! I just love the vibrant colors used to illustrate this regal looking peacock. There are beautiful shades of purple, violet, and blue, and they really make a statement against the stark, white background. While the lighting in my house makes this appear almost off-white, please be aware that it's actually very white. Think freshly fallen snow. In addition to the wonderful peacock design, the duvet also offers a fun, polka-dot design on the other side. So really, this could be considered reversible. These some polka-dots can also be found on the pillow cases. I used the duvet on a Queen sized comforter, and I was able to get the perfect fit. There is a hidden zipper on the duvet that allows you to put your comforter inside. I did have to have one of the kids climb into the cover, just to make sure all of our comforter's corners were lined up properly. They had a lot of fun doing this, though. They're always eager to help Mommy! Overall, I am definitely quite impressed with Atelier Edele's bedding. It's very comfortable and soft, which is probably the most important thing to me. Who likes rough, scratchy bedding? No one. I also love the unique art that this brand features on their bedding sets. There is something almost whimsical about these designs, yet they're elegant enough to fit seamlessly into any decor. Add to that the fact that all Atelier Edele bedding is made from eco-friendly, GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, and you've definitely got a winning product. I love the fact that I can wrap my children in amazing softness, without the worry of what chemicals their delicate skin is coming into contact with. If you're looking for an easy way to switch your style for Fall, I would definitely recommend checking out Atelier Edele. I think you'll be as delighted as we are!
