***Disclosure: As an official Peppa Pig Parent, I receive product and information to share with you all. As always, all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** I can hardly believe it, but Easter is literally right around the corner! This year, it's extra special, too. It falls on my 7th wedding anniversary! Pretty neat, if I do say so myself. Of course we don't want to take any Easter fun away from the kiddos, so we will be going on a dinner date the night before. Sure, our anniversary is important, but it doesn't compare to seeing our children delight in the magic that Easter brings. We will have a busy day this Easter Sunday. We will be enjoying an amazing, delicious brunch buffet near Cleveland, thanks to my Papa, who has decided to treat the entire family and their families, too! (He's a very sweet and generous man.) After that, we will be hunting for Easter eggs at one of our local parks. This year, the kids received an extra special Easter surprise from their favorite piggy pal, Peppa Pig! They were absolutely delighted when they caught a glimpse of a fun basket full of brand new Peppa Pig goodies! Our basket included so many fun Peppa surprises! The first thing the kids went for was the Peppa Pig Family 4 Pack from Jazwares. These are cute little toys that can be used to recreate your favorite Peppa Pig moments, or even create some new ones of your own. Hooray for imaginative play! Also included were some adorable shirts from the folks at Happy Threads. According to the tags, these can be found at Kohl's. I love the fact that there are Peppa Pig fashions available for both girls AND boys. My 4 year old, Xander, loves playing with his sister, so this means he is a fan of princesses, fairies, and of course, Peppa Pig! (We don't force gender stereotypes here when it comes to play. Sophie plays with "boy toys", too.) Sophie and Xander both love these shirts, and HAD to put them on right away. Also included in my basket were some delicious Peppa Pig ABC Shortbread cookies, an On the Go Coloring Pouch that comes with crayons, stickers, and a mini coloring book, and the brand new book from Scholastic, "Peppa's First Sleepover". This book is absolutely wonderful, and is full of vivid Peppa illustrations. This is a good book for early readers. My 5 year old can read it with no problem at all, and she was thrilled to be able to tell Mommy a story for once, instead of it being the other way around! Sophie and Xander were SO excited about their Peppa Pig treats that they didn't want to sit still for a quick photo. Can't you see the impatience in their little faces? I guess I can't really blame them for being excited and a bit antsy. After all, Peppa Pig IS one of their favorite television shows. CONNECT WITH PEPPA PIG : You can tune in to the awesomeness that is Peppa Pig on Nick, Jr. You can also find loads of Peppa Pig fun on the Peppa Pig website. There are games to play, cute clips to watch, and even creative activities to make! You can also find Peppa Pig on Facebook! ENter to WIN some Peppa Goodies : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive their very own Peppa Pig On the Go Coloring Pouch AND the great new book from Scholastic, "Peppa's First Sleepover". These will surely bring huge grins to the Peppa Pig fans in your life! How cool is that?!

Easter is a nice, quiet family day here. The Easter Bunny usually comes overnight, and we have a ham dinner.

Unfortunately, we will be spending Easter, at home, laying around, trying to recover from being sick. Two of the kids have the flu (confirmed by test). My husband and I both have sinus/ear/throat/respiratory infections. Thankfully, I bought all the Easter stuff early so hopefully the kid's Easter baskets will help detract them. I've already given them some of it. I feel so bad when they are sick :(
