![]() In my humble opinion, there's nothing better than lighting a few deliciously scented candles, kicking back and relaxing with my husband after a long, chaotic day spent chasing my toddlers around. Wait...I take that back. There is one thing that might be better...Lighting some nice candles and getting some sparkly new jewelry at the same time! Girls love candles, and we also love jewelry. Thankfully, there are some very clever companies that are combining these two loves and offering candles with a bit of bling hidden inside! One of my favorites is Wickedly Scented. For one, they're based right outside of beautiful Amish country here in my home state of Ohio. We all know that good things come out of the Buckeye State. (Like moi!) Another thing that makes Wickedly Scented stand apart from similar companies is that they're committed to providing candles that are not only of the highest quality, but are also eco-friendly! That's right! These candles are made from premium soy, so they're clean burning and kind to the environment. They're also in the process of transitioning to wooden wicks in their 12oz candles. Wooden wicks provide a soothing crackling sound as if you are sitting by a fire place! What better way to enjoy a candle than with the unique sounds of a wood burning fire as they crackle and pop while they burn? Wickedly Scented Candles come in some mouth-wateringly delectable scents. There's Chocolate Coconut Cupcake, Creamy Blueberry Cheesecake, Sweet Pea, and Monkey Farts, just to name a few. I love candles that smell like food. Especially baked goods and fruity concoctions! So Wickedly Scented definitely gets major brownie points for their scent line-up! Each Wickedly Scented Candle also comes with a surprise inside. You will either receive a piece of jewelry or a special code that can be redeemed for exciting, exclusive prizes. You won't know what you'll get until you allow the yummy smelling candle to burn for awhile. Soon enough, you'll see a neatly wrapped foil package that contains your special gift! Try and resist digging it out, though. Once enough of the soy wax is melted, you'll be able to easily retrieve it with a pair of tweezers. The anticipation is half the fun! The awesome folks at Wickedly Scented sent me a 12oz Apple Butter Caramel candle for my review. It arrived quickly and was incredibly well-packaged. It came in a beautiful glass jar with the oh-so-cute Wickedly Scented logo on it! As soon as I removed the lid, I was drooling. The scent of fresh apples wrapped in creamy caramel was very realistic, and almost reminded me of the caramel apples found in stores this time of year. Since I received a 12oz candle, it did in fact have the wooden wick I described. This wick was a little tricky to light, since it took a few tries to get it to stay lit. Once it was fully lit, I noticed that it burned very evenly and had little crackling sounds which just enhanced our candle-burning experience. As the candle burned, our family room was wrapped in the delicious smell of caramel apple butter. (Yum!) It really smelled good enough to eat, and my husband was fooled. When he got home from work, he asked if I had been baking all day. Sorry, Honey...It's just my candle! I waited patiently for my special prize to be revealed within the melting wax. It took a few hours, but soon enough, I saw a little glimmer of foil. I waited patiently until I could easily remove it, and then I let it cool down a bit. This foil packet is very well sealed, so no wax will get onto the jewelry hidden inside. I then unwrapped my packet and found a gorgeous ring waiting for me! It was sterling silver, according to the stamp on the inside of the band, and it featured a large, pink, heart-shaped solitaire! I am pretty sure that the stone isn't real, but it's still a very pretty ring. The best part? Since it's made from sterling silver, it won't turn my finger green! Overall, I am very impressed with Wickedly Scented Candles. They smell amazing, burn very cleanly, and they're eco-friendly. Add to that the fact that there's jewelry and other goodies nestled inside, and you've got a product bound to please all the ladies in your life, young and old alike!
