Why EVERYONE Needs An Alice (Review)

As the mom of 2 toddlers and a preteen, getting to the grocery store can be quite a challenge. It means getting all the kids ready to go, strapping them into their carseats, hoping no one pooped on the way there, wrestling with my gargantuan double-stroller, and praying that I didn't forget something important at home, like my purse! (Yes, on one particularly frazzled day, this really did happen.) So needless to say, going to the store for a few necessities is often more trouble than it's worth and we just go when my husband has the day off and he's there to help keep things under control. After all, I can't push a shopping cart and a double stroller all at once!

That's why I was so excited to learn about Alice. Who is Alice? No, she's not a nanny. But Alice IS a Mother's Helper of sorts. Alice.com is an awesome online store where you can pick up all of your household essentials like toothpaste, cleaning supplies, and even baby food and diapers for rock-bottom prices. Alice provides you a better way to manage all of your household essentials online. You tell Alice what you buy—choosing from great deals on 1000’s of products—and Alice goes to work. Alice organizes all of your products, finds automatic coupons and deals for you, and reminds you when you might be running low, and helps you order just the items you need so you can avoid that trip to the corner drugstore or the big-box store. And all this convenience comes direct to your door with free shipping included. Add to that a FAST turnaround time, and you've got your own personal shopping service!

_How does Alice work?

You order from Alice just like you would a retailer, but behind the scenes Alice works as a marketplace where you can often buy direct from the manufacturers that make your goods. Not every product on the site is sold direct from the manufacturer right now—Alice sources a number of products themselves in order to give you the broadest selection possible—but they add new manufacturers each week onto Alice's direct platform. The benefit of the marketplace sale is that it eliminates the retail middleman and saves lots of costs that manufacturers can pass directly on to you. And in addition to saving you money, the Alice marketplace allows participating brands to have a direct relationship with you—to reward you, personalize things for you, and work smarter for you. It is a win-win that gives you fantastic convenience, free shipping AND tangible savings.

I received a $20 credit to try Alice out for myself. I know what you're thinking: $20 does NOT go very far. Well that's what I thought, too...Until I started shopping. I kept my list simple, searching for things like toddler snacks, kids' shampoo, detangling spray for my daughter and I, and also some Mr. Clean with Febreze. Alice was delightfully simple to navigate, and all of my desired items were easy to find. You see, Alice makes it super-simple to browse their products. You can even search by room!

Before I placed my order on Alice.com, I decided to visit other independent retailers to see what all of my items would cost if purchased elsewhere. The total, NOT including shipping? OVER $40! At Alice, $20 got me all of this:

-A LARGE bottle of Mr. Clean with Febreze
-Suave Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner
-Detangling spray
-HUGE canister of Organic Greens Puffs
-Gerber Banana Puffs
-Gerber Maple and Cinnamon toddler snacks
-Gerber Graduates Shells and Cheese
-GoGo Squeeze 4 pack Peach Apple Sauce

Take a look!

I was thrilled by the amount of money I saved on products my family uses everyday. My Alice package arrived only a day or so after I placed my order, and everything was incredibly well-packaged. The folks at Alice take great care in making sure all items arrive intact. Anything that had the potential to leak was double-wrapped and sealed with extra tape, just as a precaution. (This was greatly appreciated!) All of my items were also in perfect condition with no dents, scuffs, or expired items.

Overall, I am loving Alice.com. Since it's not always easy to get out with the babies, I can now shop for my family's household essentials without having to leave the comfort of my home. Heck, I can even shop in my footie pajamas and no one will ever know it. So next time I run out of toilet paper, tampons, or even make-up, I will call on Alice to help make my shopping easier and more convenient. Shipping is ALWAYS free, and arrival is lightening fast. Do you have an Alice? You should! I think everyone needs an Alice!
