Whew! It's hard to believe that Christmas is coming to an end....We were incredibly blessed this year, so the kids were spoiled rotten. I had acquired so many gifts throughout the year that I had a huge stockpile. I actually ended up donating a whole trunk load to sick kids in the hospital. That made us feel good, since so many of these families miss out on a nice Christmas.
This year, my husband and I decided that we would focus on the kids only, so we didn't really get each-other any gifts. I'd rather see my babies have an amazing Christmas, since that's what I find the most magical about the Holiday season.
Now that doesn't mean I don't have a wish-list....Of course I do! If money were no object or I had a very generous Secret Santa, here's what would top my list. These things are what I really wanted for Christmas....
First, a new sectional with a pull-out bed. Since we moved into our new home, my husband and I have been sleeping on our couch, with is broken and battered and totally uncomfortable. Our room is in the finished attic, and until we get some ventilation and update the electrical systems up there, we will be sleeping in the family room. I would love, love, LOVE a sofa like this. Ours is in such bad shape, and this would allow me to sleep next to my husband for the first time in over a year!
I would also love to upgrade my iPhone 4 to this iPhone 5C. I love the vibrant colors, and this model sounds amazing. I have friends on Facebook that rave about it, while I turn green with envy...Or coral and blue, like this beauty below.
As a blogger, photos are important. Very, very important. Sadly, I do not have the best camera, and usually take pics using my phone. What I would really love to have is a good, DSLR camera. Then I could take Pinterest-worthy pics and amazing photos of my kids. But they're so ridiculously expensive. A gal can dream, right?
Nail polish. Thousands and thousands of bottles of nail polish. OPI, China Glaze, Julep, Sally Hansen....It doesn't matter. I love it all. I would love to have a bottle in every color imaginable. Except yellow. I am not a huge fan of yellow.
One of my biggest loves is "smell good stuff". (That's what my husband calls it, at least.) I love a good perfume, and I always have to be wearing some kind of fragrance. Here are my top 3 favorites:
Sicily bu Dolce & Gabbana: By far the most amazing, gorgeously scented perfume ever. Ever. This is my all-time fave, but sadly, it's not sold in the US anymore, so I have to rely on EBay, which isn't always the cheapest...Plus the increasing rarity really drives up the price.
Amazing Grace by Philosophy: This scent is delicate, clean and slightly floral. It's not overpowering, but definitely gets a ton of compliments. It's something every woman should own a bottle of.
Candy by Prada: Candy+Prada? Need I say more?!
And of course, last but certainly not least, Bruno Mars on a silver platter. Of course nothing sexual as I am a happily married woman. I would just love for him to serenade me on demand, make me laugh, and make me pop tarts....And maybe belt out some "Eye of the Tiger" while I am working out. Motivation, you know? Hey, this IS a dream list, right?
So fess up...Is there something you REALLY wished you'd get for Christmas and didn't? What's that one thing at the top of your wish list?
