![]() Lately I have been doing little "Spring Cleaning" projects on a daily basis. With 3 kids, a blog, a house to take care of and a marriage to be present in, it's so much easier to accomplish tasks bits at a time rather than all in one swoop. Otherwise, sad to say, nothing would ever really get done. Tomorrow's task? Our DVD's. We have a very large 5 shelf bookshelf that is literally exploding with movies. I have never counted them all, but I am guessing there has to be several hundred if not a thousand movies on that shelf. So tomorrow, I will be making sure they're all in their proper cases, not scratched to death, and then it will be time to sort them. Some movies we watch regularly, some not often, and others we'll probably never watch again. (Those ones will be sold on musicmagpie.com.) I often sell like new or gently used items rather than discard them. Not only does this help bring in a little extra money for date nights or outings with the kiddos, it also helps the environment by recycling and keeping things out of the Earth's already overflowing landfills. Plus, it makes room for new movies and games on our super-well-stocked shelves! Have you ever sold items when de-cluttering? What service do you use? Garage sales, EBay, Amazon, or musicmagpie.com? ***Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. As always, all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.***

I haven't sold anything when decluttering, but I just joined a facebook group, so I can start. I usually donate to our local thrift store, proceeds help the needy right here in the community.

We are going through decluttering, too. Good luck to you. It is a long process. We had not only DVD's but VHS tapes still. I am donating them to a nursing home and to a housing edition. I typically donate my items to organizations. I know my daughter has sold a few books and cds on half, but we don't do much that way. Best Buy sometimes has a buy back program where you trade in an old DVD for a coupon off a new Blu Ray.
