Lately I have been doing little "Spring Cleaning" projects on a daily basis. With 3 kids, a blog, a house to take care of and a marriage to be present in, it's so much easier to accomplish tasks bits at a time rather than all in one swoop. Otherwise, sad to say, nothing would ever really get done.
Tomorrow's task? Our DVD's. We have a very large 5 shelf bookshelf that is literally exploding with movies. I have never counted them all, but I am guessing there has to be several hundred if not a thousand movies on that shelf. So tomorrow, I will be making sure they're all in their proper cases, not scratched to death, and then it will be time to sort them. Some movies we watch regularly, some not often, and others we'll probably never watch again. (Those ones will be sold on musicmagpie.com.)
I often sell like new or gently used items rather than discard them. Not only does this help bring in a little extra money for date nights or outings with the kiddos, it also helps the environment by recycling and keeping things out of the Earth's already overflowing landfills. Plus, it makes room for new movies and games on our super-well-stocked shelves!
Have you ever sold items when de-cluttering? What service do you use? Garage sales, EBay, Amazon, or musicmagpie.com?
