![]() I'm sure you all remember the amazing Wahmies Fun Prints Wet Bag that was included in my Christmas In July prize package. A big congrats to Mrs. Smitty who won the giveaway! Anyhow, you were all so excited to see the wet bag in the event, I would love to keep the buzz going by introducing you to yet another fantastic Wahmies product, their Pail Liners! You might ask, why do I need a pail liner? Isn't the pail alone enough? Well, technically, you can easily get away with using a diaper pail alone, sans liner. I did for quite some time before I received my Wahmies Pail Liner. However, let me tell you what you're in for should you choose to go liner-less: Stink, Goo, More Stink and More Goo...All in the bottom of the pail. Not fun! I found I had lingering ammonia odors in my diaper pail even after cleaning it out, which is something I had to do every single time it got full. The stench was overpowering, and I found myself wishing I had a gas mask. Not to mention all of the nasty bacteria that found its way to the bottom of my diaper pail. Cloth-diapering without a pail liner is kind of like using the restroom without toilet paper. Yes, I know that is a really offensive thought, but if you think about it, the two are similar in nature. So naturally, when Lisa at Wahmies asked me to review one of their diaper service quality, multi-award winning pail liners, I jumped at the chance. I was so impressed by their great wet bags, I couldn't wait to see how their pail liner fared. Little did I know, it would take the YUCK out of laundry day! No more pail to scrub and disinfect, and a lot less lingering odors. The first thing I noticed when I received my Wahmies Pail Liner, other than the vibrant, cheerful red color, was that this liner is extremely heavy duty in its construction. This is no flimsy liner! The Wahmies Pail Liners are made to be completely leak-proof, and will fit a variety of different shaped pails, due to its revolutionary design. It will even fit a standard kitchen trash can, if you'd like to keep things simple! Just check out these awesome features: º Top Elastic Stretches to fit wide variety of pails º Custom elastic for child safe closure when needed. No dangerous elastic bungee cords to entangle children. º Only 2 tight, durable, heat bonded, and water resistant seams keep moisture inside º Durable Waterproof Polyurethane Laminated Polyester (PUL) º Made in the USA º Wahmies Products have always been PVC, Pthalate, and Lead Free. º Patent Pending Take a look at my Wahmies Pail Liner in action: MY OPINION: I love my Wahmies Pail Liner. It is incredibly durable, and I love that it can go right into the wash along with my diapers. Provided my husband actually unstuffs them when he changes the babies, this totally eliminates the need to ever touch the soiled diapers when putting them into the wash. That keeps all the yucky bacteria off of my hands! Let's face it: The WORST part of cloth-diapering is handling soiled diapers. With a Wahmies Pail Liner, you will only have to do this minimally. Once the dirty diaper is off of the baby and unstuffed, there is no need to touch them until it's time to dry them. I love that! I also really like the fact that I can add tea tree oil into the bag in a special little patch on the seam that is designed to help keep offensive odors at bay. This really works, too! I currently am using Orange Oil, and my diaper pail smells fresher much, much longer than it would otherwise. This is a huge plus, since diaper odors have actually caused me to physically gag in the past. Another feature that I find completely brilliant is the child safe closure system. This allows me to keep my curious toddler out of the dirty diapers without any risk of strangulation found in liners with bungee or drawstring closures. This has come in especially handy, since my daughter loves to try and get into the diaper bags whenever she thinks we're not looking. And I have discovered that my Wahmies Pail Liner is great for more than just diaper storage. You can get plenty of use out of this awesome product years after your baby is done with diapers. This Pail Liner makes an awesome wet towel and swimsuit holder during trips to the beach or the pool, and will keep sand and water off of your vehicle's interior. I have also used this as a laundry bag! My husband, like many men, can get pretty funkified. Especially with the 100+ temperatures we have been having here in Virginia lately. I have used the pail liner to hold his sweaty socks and work clothes. It works like a charm, since it keeps smells in, and I don't have to mix these disgusting garments in with our normal laundry. When it's time to wash, I just empty the clothing into the washing machine and toss the liner in with them. Done! And I never have to touch a stinky, sweaty sock! I would highly recommend Wahmies Pail Liners to anyone, cloth-diapering or not. This is a high-quality and extremely versatile product that can be used for multitudes of applications. I can't believe I went so long without one! This product has made my life easier in many different ways, and I want to extend a huge thanks to Wahmies for letting me test this fabulous product!
