Summer is finally here, and we spend a lot of time at my Father-In-Law's house during the warmer months. There's always good food, great company, and of course, a nice inground swimming pool. I have always been very shy when it comes to getting into a bathing suit. I do not have the body of a supermodel, but I still want to be attractive, wobbly bits and all! Hey, just cause I'm the mother of 3 doesn't mean I don't want to turn my husband's head every once in awhile. The secret to looking great in the pool or on the beach is finding the right suit to hide your flaws and accentuate your assets. A good bathing suit is definitely a summer must have in my book!
That's why I was so excited to get to review a new Voda Swim envy push-up tankini! Voda offers a wide variety of high-end swimwear that is sexy as well as flattering for several different body types. For example, they offer Brazilian bikinis hot enough to make any man's blood boil. I do not have the body for such a swimsuit, as I have had 3 c-sections and my body shows evidence of 3 pregnancies. You know, the dreaded belly-pooch I like to complain about, and let's not forget stretch marks! So their awesome selection of padded bikinis are better left to the women who have not yet had children or the mamas out there that are genetically blessed enough to have escaped the bodily changes that pregnancy can bring on.
For women who are not that fortunate or who prefer to cover just a little more skin, Voda Swim has the most adorable tankini and one-piece styles, as well! Who says less is more, right? I received the Envy Push Up Shirred Tankini & Adjustable Scoop (pictured at left) for review, and let me tell you, this is by far the nicest and most flattering swimwear I have ever worn. I was so excited when I received it that I immediately HAD to try it on and see what it looked like on my body, which is not quite as nice as the model above's. Not yet, anyway. Hey, a girl can dream, right?
I was afraid that it wouldn't look good on my 135lb body, but I couldn't have been more wrong! This push-up tankini has a top that is halter style and ties in the back, which does allow for some adjustment in size. Since I am a bustier gal, I got the top in their size Large, and it fit beautifully. This is a padded swimsuit, which is a feature I don't see too often in a swimsuit. What does this mean for you? Simple: Your tatas will look AMAZING! I am a natural D Cup, and while wearing this tankini, my "girls" definitely seemed a lot bigger and perkier. This is like a boob-job without the surgery. I think Voda should branch out and offer regular clothing with their push-up technology! If they had dresses and tops with the same push-up system, I would buy their entire collection! As women, we all know that not all push-up bras and tops are created equal. Whatever they use in their tops should be the gold standard for cleavage enhancement! Seriously, it's that good. Really.
Their adjustable scoop bottoms are equally wonderful, and offer a unique feature that allows you to fully customize how much skin you bare all with a simple pull of the side-ties. This allows you to be more modest with full coverage while the kids or family are around. If you're in the hot tub or pool with your significant other and you want to make his blood pressure rise, just pull the side-tie and you'll be showing off your derriere in no time. Oh, did I mention that the end caps of the side ties are 14K gold plated and chlorine and salt water resistant? Yep. Voda Swim pays attention to all the little details in their Brazilian swimwear that make a woman feel like a million bucks. And their suits are also fully lined and hold up beautifully when wet. The Envy Push-Up top stayed perfectly molded even while fully saturated, and that gets a definite A++ from me!
Here are some before and after photos. In the first, I am wearing a normal, non-push up tankini. Now I am 5'4" and weigh about 135lbs. My dress size is an 8, and I am a 36D. I ordered a Large Envy Tankini, and it fits beautifully. And yes, I have no make-up on and my hair is a mess from spending the weekend swimming.
Here I am in the Voda Envy Push-Up Tankini. While the difference in the photo isn't too much, let me tell you, there IS a definite difference. My "gals" were pushed up and looked a great deal fuller!
Overall, I am beyond thrilled with my tankini from Voda Swim. They have so many feminine and flirty swimsuits that are sure to make any woman, even a mother like me, feel absolutely sexy. After all, who says motherhood can't be sexy? I am in love with my tankini from Voda Swim, and I will proudly be rocking this gorgeous swimsuit at the pool this summer! Who knows? Maybe I will end up buying one in each color!
