![]() As a family of 5 plus 3 fur babies, we have a LOT of stuff. So much that when we moved to Ohio a couple of weeks ago, we completely filled a 26ft moving truck, the entire inside of my Mercedes, the entire rear portion of Dan's Suburban, and the bed of my Dad's pick-up truck....And we STILL had to go back to Virginia a second time and rent a 12 ft trailer to get the rest of it! No, I am not kidding, unfortunately. So we decided to weed through some of our unneeded things and either sell them or give them away. We ended up giving away a patio dining set, a huge gas grill, a Bowflex, and a few other things by using Craigslist. Let me tell you, some of the people we had to deal with were more than a little "off." One woman came over and proceeded to talk for almost 2 hours about her kitty cat....That died 6 years ago. Another couple people seemed very shady and looked like they'd served quite some time behind bars. Oh, and then there was the pervy old man who blatantly hit on me in front of my husband and children. Umm, no thank you! Now that we're in our home in Ohio, I am going through even more things I don't need cluttering my new house. One thing I have a LOT of is cloth diapers. All styles, all colors, all sizes, tons of brands. I must have a few hundred of them! (With 2 babies, you need a big stash! As a blogger, the stash just kept growing!) Sophie is in the potty training process and doing fairly well. So I think it's time to sell a good chunk of my stash, especially the more feminine looking diapers. Cloth diapers have amazing resale value, so I think I can make a good amount of money! Since I don't want to go the Craigslist route again, and things seem to just get lost in the ocean otherwise known as E-Bay, I started searching for a more user-friendly way to sell items I no longer need. That's when I found Ubokia! What is Ubokia? It's an online marketplace that is completely free to join. Here you can sell pretty much anything you'd like to sell. You can even list services such as babysitting, house-cleaning, web design, etc. Buying and selling through a blog marketplace means you are connecting with other like-minded people - making it easier to find what you want and in general your interactions are more pleasant than something like Craigslist. I think I will list some cloth diapers on Ubokia. They should sell like hotcakes, since I won't have to wait for potential buyers to see my listing. I can immediately connect with buyers who are looking for exactly what I have to offer. You can also look for things you want to buy, in the most specific sense. If you'd like a bike with a green seat that's a specific brand, BOOM! You'll find it! If you post a want, it's shared with the friendly Ubokia community, so you're more likely to find a match!.Ubokia is easier for buyers because all they have to do is post a want and let sellers come to them. No more searching! I know I will be using this service as I get things we need for home improvement. What a great way to stretch our budget as far as possible! Take a look at this brief video explaining the whole Ubokia experience: How cool is that?! Ubokia is totally safe to use, too! With uTrust, Ubokia is the safest way to buy online. I am so excited to connect with other moms just like me, and hopefully buy and sell lots of items. Move over, Craigslist...Ubokia is in town!
