I'm so excited to bring yet another awesome Tropical Traditions review and giveaway to you all. Why wouldn't I be, considering this amazing company has such a huge variety of natural products to offer. They have everything from their world famous coconut products to household helpers, and they even have great supplements to support a healthy lifestyle. But with all the great products Tropical Traditions has to offer, I have to admit, I am really excited about the product I'll be sharing with you today, their Canadian Raw Honey! What makes Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey special? A lot, actually. First, this wonderful raw honey is completely organic in nature, and is collected from bees that are allowed to roam freely in their natural habitat in the wilderness of Canada, so they collect the pollens from flowers that are totally free of pesticides and other chemical contaminants. This is a process that is very difficult to regulate, therefore there are very, very few truly organic honeys available on the market today. Another unique thing about the raw honey from Tropical Traditions? Well, most honeys are heated, filtered, and pasteurized, which removes essential enzymes and nutrients. Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey has not been subjected to the heat of processing, only warmed enough to flow (same temperatures the honey would see inside the hive). Tropical Traditions selects only premium honey that is pure, smooth and creamy, with the consistency of soft margarine at harvest. It contains live yeast and enzymes, because it has not been processed. It also contains pollen because it has not been filtered—merely screened. Fine textured crystals are characteristic of totally pure, unheated, unprocessed, raw honey. Properly crystallized honey has a fine, smooth texture. Crystallized honey preserves natural goodness and doesn’t drip. The more rapidly honey crystallizes the finer the texture will be. It will also turn harder over time as it crystallizes. Truly raw honeys do not deteriorate with age, but like fine wines, continue to age and develop into more complex tastes. When I received my Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey, the difference between this and conventional honey was immediately visible. This honey is whitish, and has a creamy, almost buttery consistency. This is a far cry from the orangey, sticky honey we're all used to consuming. Take a look! See how different this honey is in appearance? Well, the differences don't stop there, my friends. The taste is also very different than conventional honeys. (In a GOOD way!) Since Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey is merely filtered and not heat processed to death, it has a creamy consistency and a flavor that is absolutely out of this world. It has all the sweetness and goodness that nature intended, while retaining all of the beneficial nutrients and enzymes that occur naturally in honey. These are properties that are lost in most commercially available honeys, since they are over-processed and heated TOO much. This over-processing takes away more than just essential nutrients, it also takes away flavor. Really! Sure, normal honey tastes good. But you haven't truly experienced the decadence of honey until you've tried raw, organic honey that is just the way nature intended. I have been using this honey in place of my "normal" honey in recipes, and let me tell you, the difference is astronomical. There is a depth and complexity of flavor that simply cannot be imitated. This is sweet, creamy, and has a very pleasant aftertaste. If I weren't deathly afraid of bees, I would be half tempted to delve into hives myself just to get more of this sensational, raw goodness. Luckily, I won't have to. I can rely on Tropical Traditions to do the hard work of dealing with terrifying bees for me. I can definitely say this is the ONLY honey I will buy from now on. This is simply outstanding, and a little bit goes a long way. Luckily, raw honey only improves with age, unlike it's over-processed counterparts. Overall, I am absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey. The flavor is completely unsurpassed by any honey I have ever tried before, and knowing that it is certified organic and raw makes me feel good about serving this honey to my family. Try it! I guarantee you will love it, and will never look at honey the same again! BUY IT: You can purchase this and many other fantastic products on the Tropical Traditions website. Heck I just wanna try the honey! That different of a texture sounds wonderful, the one thing I hate about honey is how all over the place and sticky it ends up, more like butter? heavenly! gimmegimme!
