As many of you know, I am a self-proclaimed beauty junkie. No, really...It's bad. It's an addiction of sorts. I have so many "girlie products", as my husband calls them, that I am literally running out of places to put them! My beauty stash has taken over an entire pantry, a linen closet, as well as under both sinks and all of the drawers in our bathroom. So I guess you can say that when it comes to beauty and skincare products, I am pretty experienced.

So when I heard about Tilth Beauty, I was pretty intrigued. For one, this is a brand I was unfamiliar with. (How is that possible?!) Secondly, and more importantly, all products made by Tilth Beauty are completely safe. I write a lot about "safe cosmetics", and I am very passionate about one simple concept: If you can't pronounce the ingredients, it probably has no business being on your skin. Over the past several years, I have been choosing more and more organic and naturally sourced products for my family, and Tilth Beauty really fits the bill.

About Tilth Beauty :

Tilth Beauty derives its name from the life-giving properties of the earth itself. Tilth is the physical condition of the soil, its texture and ability to hold moisture and circulate oxygen. It is the indicator of the soil health. Soil with good tilth has adequately sized spaces between soil particles for good air infiltration and movement of water which is essential for plant growth. It also is able to hold a reservoir of water and nutrients.

The skin is similar. It needs an adequate level of moisture and nutrients to be healthy. Tilth Beauty was born from this concept. They have created a naturally based product line that will return much needed moisture and nutrients to the skin, as good tilth will return these essentials to the soil. You will not find any parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petroleum based products, silicones, synthetic fragrances, artificial colors, animal/dairy bi products, Gluten or GMO’s in Tilth Beauty's products.

Sounds pretty amazing, right? I especially love the fact that these products fit well into any lifestyle, including Vegan, and are cruelty-free. I love a company with a conscious, and the folks at Tilth Beauty are dedicated to providing high-quality products that are gentle on the environment.

My Review of the Tilth Beauty Sea Origin Serum :

Picture
The generous folks at Tilth Beauty sent me a bottle of their Sea Origin Serum for my review. This product contains 11 marine sourced extracts, including Antartic Seaweed, Red Algae, and Wakame, just to name a few.

This powerful and soothing serum combates wrinkles, free radicals, and UVA/UVB damage, and promotes hydration, elasticity, and firmness to leave the skin visibly brighter, healthier, and more youthful-looking after just one application.

The Sea Origin Serum, like most serums, absorbs rapidly into the skin, leaving it beautifully hydrated, firmer, and more youthful looking. It has a light, almost herbal scent, that is pleasant without being overpowering.

Since the serum absorbs without leaving behind any funky residue, make-up can easily be applied on top of the product. This is a huge plus, since some serums I have tried before are not very make-up friendly and caused a rather odd, "landslide" effect on my face. This serum has a very light texture, so it almost feels as though you have bare skin as a base for your cosmetics.

While I don't really have any wrinkles to speak of yet, I definitely appreciate the anti-aging properties found in this product. The combination of 11 proven marine extracts not only reduces the appearance and depth of wrinkles with continued use, it also brightens and plumps the skin. Users have reported having a healthier looking complexion after a single use!

Well I have been using the Tilth Beauty Sea Origin Serum for a couple of weeks now. I generally use it in the mornings after washing my face. I did notice results almost immediately, as my skin was left super soft and smooth and had a brighter overall appearance. I also noticed that my stubborn dark circles have become less noticeable.

Overall, I think this is an amazing product, and definitely worth trying. It is easy to use, and a little bit goes a very long way. One tube should last quite awhile! Since this has UVA/UVB protection built in, this is a must-have beauty product during the summer months. I also love the fact that this product is completely natural. I don't have to worry about things like parabens, sulfates, or pthalates being present in this product. So if you haven't checked out Tilth Beauty, I would highly recommend doing so. These products are not only highly effective, they're kind both to the environment and your skin!
