The Trunki PaddlePak Gives Kids A Fun Way To Tote Their Belongings Plus GIVEAWAY #MPMHGG 11/2111/7/2014 ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** What is it with kids and their need to constantly tote around various toys and knick-knacks? My preschoolers, Sophie and Xander, always have to have certain things on their person. Sophie cannot be without her "Bruno hat", her monkey, Charlie, and her LeapReader with at least one book. Xander, on the other hand, carries some weird things around. He totes around a Barbie doll, a bug-catching kit, and a jar of dirt. (Don't ask.) Since my kids are constantly trying to scrounge up their "essentials" whenever we're about to head out, I was thrilled to learn about an adorable, portable storage solution from the folks at Trunki. The Trunki PaddlePak is a water-resistant kids' backpack that comes in some truly fun varieties. There's a Lobster, an Octopus, and even a very friendly frog, just to name a few. The folks at Trunki sent us Chuckles, their adorable Clown Fish PaddlePak, to check out for ourselves. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed is the amount of detail found in this product. The fins have expertly stitched details, the eyes are cheery and friendly, and the colors are quite vivid. This is sure to delight any child who "meets" Chuckles! The construction of the PaddlePak is also fantastic quality. This backpack is extremely lightweight, yet surprisingly durable. The back is padded for added comfort, and there are even reflective strips and a break-away safety buckle. It features tons of ways for little ones to stash their most treasured possessions, too. The PaddlePak features a roomy interior, with roll-top closure, but it also has some neat extras like an accessory loop, a dry-zip pocket, and even a Trunki grip for sunglasses. Add to that the fact that this is made from water-resistant materials, and you've got the perfect backpack for camp, the pool, and anywhere else a child's adventures may take them. Yep, these folks have thought of everything! But the real question is...Is the PaddlePak Kid-Approved? Yes! My 3 year old, Xander, claimed this as his own as soon as it arrived. He loves a certain Disney movie that features a clown fish, so he was super-excited about this backpack and had to wear it immediately. The PaddlePak fits perfectly, thanks to the adjustable straps, and it definitely seems to be very comfortable to wear. Xander is a goofball, so he insisted on pairing his PaddlePak with his Monster Hat. You know, because they both have orange. (Gotta love the logic of a 3 year old!) Xander put his favorite dolly, his jar of dirt, and his bug-catching kit into his PaddlePak, and then headed outdoors. Here in Ohio, it's been quite wet and rainy, and I was delighted to find that while my son ended up a muddy, wet mess, the contents of his PaddlePak remained clean and dry. Overall, I am definitely loving the Trunki PaddlePak. This whimsical backpack is well-made, keeps contents dry and secure, and of course, this backpack is over-the-top adorable. If you're looking for a great gift for the child who needs to carry their whole life around with them, definitely check out what Trunki has to offer. With so many cute choices, you're sure to find the perfect companion for the child in your life! How to connect : You can check out the awesomeness that is Trunki on their website.
