Having both a little girl AND a little boy can get pretty interesting. They often combine "boy" things, like superheroes or construction, with more traditionally "girly" things, like Princesses and baby dolls. I love seeing this, and totally encourage my kids to use their imaginations and play with their toys in any way they'd like. Hey, boy...girl...it doesn't matter. As long as they're playing together without trying to kill anyone, I am one happy mama.

Recently, Sony Pictures sent us a great new movie that features 2 of my kids' favorite things: Princesses and pirates.

The Swan Princess: Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today is out on DVD September 6 from Sony Home Entertainment!

In the brand new original animated film, Princess Alise is training to be the perfect royal but in her heart all she wants to do is sail the seven seas as a swashbuckling pirate! After setting sail, Princess Alise is shipwrecked and washes ashore on an island where she meets Lucas, a young boy who has been living there by herself. They have to work together to survive and get back to civilization!
