With two toddlers in our home, we have a veritable stockpile of sippy cups. As a matter of fact, they take up a whole huge shelf in one of our pantries. If I had to guess, I would estimate that we probably own about 50 of them. Yes, really. Out of those 50 or so sippy cups, we only actually use about a dozen of them. Why? Well, for a few reasons. Some of our cups came with little pieces and valves, and these tend to get lost. My 12 year old likes to joke around and say that the "Dish Gremlin" stole them. So the cups get shelved while we wait for the missing parts to magically reappear. Sometimes we get lucky, more often, we don't. Another reason certain sippy cups never see the light of day is because they leak. Horribly. Even though they're marketed as being "spill-proof". My toddlers are active, and they think it's a riot to shake their cups and bathe in their drinks. While this may be slightly amusing to watch, it's also quite a headache. I don't want my babies to be all sticky with juice or smell like spoiled milk. Yuck! Recently, I got the opportunity to review the great new sippy cups from The First Years, a trusted brand in all things baby. Their revolutionary Disney Magical Color Change Sippy Cups have totally changed the way I look at sippy cups in general, and have actually set a new standard in my mind. But from a brand like The First Years, would you really expect anything less than excellence? These double-insulated sippy cups are BPA-Free and come in a generous 9oz. size. They are sold in packs of 2. There are several fun themes to choose from, all featuring baby's favorite Disney friends. I especially love the Disney Fairies! However, since I have a boy and a girl, I have to stick to more gender neutral products. Take a look at how cute these are! Aside from being absolutely stinking adorable, there's more to these sippy cups than meets the eye. After all, they are "Magical", right? Let me tell you about the awesome features found in The First Years Disney Magical Color Change Sippy Cups. The first thing I noticed, and quite possibly my favorite feature, is that the lid is one individual piece. That's right! No little valves or pieces that need to be removed. This makes cleaning an absolute breeze, and increases the shelf life of the product. Like I said, the "Dish Gremlin" loves nothing more than to steal little pieces, rendering most of our sippy cups useless until the pieces are recovered. With these cups, there is no worry about that. You simply wash one piece, screw on one piece, and BOOM! You're good to go. Take a look at the construction of the lid: While the one piece lid is super-impressive, that's not where the magic lays. The real magic is in the color changing ability of the cups! As you noticed from the photo in the beginning of this post, these cups start out white. As you add a cold liquid, such as milk or juice, the color changes before your eyes! Since I received the Disney Cars sippy cups, they turn red and gray. This is so convenient for me as a parent since there's no longer the need to guess when I need to replace my children's drinks. I have a clear visual aid that tells me if their drinks are still cold. This prevents us from wasting a lot of milk! Take a look at the cups full of ice water: Here's a video showing the magic happen in real time. Pardon the mess, by the way. The kids had destroyed my family room and my son made a HUGE mess of the desk with his school papers and books! Ahh, the life of a parent! How cool is that?! I know what you're thinking...Easy to clean...No little pieces...Double insulated and color changing...This is too good to be true, right? Wrong! These cups are amazing! And they do not leak. Ever. At all. Even when they're violently shaken by my crazy kids. Believe me, they put them to the test! Since we've started using the Magical Color Change Sippy Cups, we have had a lot less messes, much to my delight. Finally, a sippy that really IS spill-proof! Best of all, my toddlers love using these cups. They adore the cheerful Disney characters featured on the cups, and they don't have any difficulty drinking from them. The cups are even shaped to fit little hands perfectly. Here are a couple photos of Sophie and Xander drinking from their cups! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about these amazing cups from The First Years. They are so convenient to use and to clean, and they help minimize waste in my home. I waste less milk and juice, and since there aren't any annoying little pieces, they remain usable longer. I guess the Dish Gremlin needs to take a hike, once and for all! I also love the color changing capabilities that let me know when my kids need a refill. Why didn't someone think of this sooner?!
Leave it to The First Years to get it done right. This brand is known for their commitment to quality, and I am definitely going to add more of their products to my household. I especially love the look of the Ignite and Jet lightweight strollers and their True Fit Convertible Car Seats! Yes, they have gear, too! This fantastic company offers so much more than feeding products. Take a look! I'm sure you'll find plenty of products you won't want to live without! I would like to try some more sippy cups, I have been looking forever, none seem to keep the liquid in, I hope these do, if not I would like to try some others, I have 2 twin grandsons 18 months old, they come to my house 2 overnights a week while their parents work and this would be great to not have to worry about spills.

I like the sippy cups, I would need more than 2, my sons like juice, milk, water so I would like to have 2 for each kind of liquid. Maybe they won't spill with these, I see first years has alot of variety.
