Last month, I talked about how Manuka Honey from PRI was a delicious, nutrient-rich addition to your family's diet. After all, who doesn't love the sweetness of pure, New Zealand Honey?!

This month, I'd like to talk about some other, less obvious uses for Manuka Honey. Yes, this stuff is versatile. Sure, you can enjoy it on your tongue, but another great place to put Manuka Honey is on your face.

Yes. I just said ON YOUR FACE. That wasn't a typo!

I absolutely love making my own natural beauty lotions, potions, and concoctions. I have found that Manuka Honey and PRI's Pacific Sea Salt and Essential Oils make the perfect ingredients for a spa-like experience, right from the comfort of your own home.

This soft, luxurious rich cleansing soap offers the benefits of Propolis, Manuka Oil and Raw Manuka Honey. Propolis Soap takes care of unwanted bacteria on the surface - the cause of many skin infections. This unique, all natural soap is used for face, body and hands and also provides necessary
nutrients to delicate skin tissues. Propolis Soap does not dry out the skin and is suitable for all skin types.

Propolis Soap is used to clear skin problems such as acne, pimples, psoriasis, fungus, different types of skin rashes and many other skin care problems. Propolis Soap has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, and is a non-allergenic.

The new soap is all-natural and distinguished by its proprietary blend of real olive oil cocoa butter and three other premium-quality oils, as well as Manuka Honey and New Zealand Sea Salt from Pacific Resources International, the California-based importer which was the first to introduce Manuka Honey to
American consumers.

Created to help restore and cleanse our skin, the new soap - made from scratch and containing no beads or pellets - was created exclusively for PRI by True Lyes, a family owned, professionally licensed and insured handcrafted soap and cosmetic manufacturing company based in Florida.

PRI Manuka Cool Citrus hand cream is made with New Zealand Manuka Honey. Manuka honey is known for its natural healing and antibacterial properties
that assist in nourishing the skin. Natural ingredients such as Exotic Botanicals and Manuka Honey are combined to enrich the skin.

Tea tree has a long history of traditional use. Australian aboriginals used tea tree leaves for healing skin cuts, burns, and infections by crushing the leaves and applying them to the affected area. Tea tree oil contains terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity. The compound
terpinen-4-ol is the most abundant and is thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial activity. People use tea tree oil for the following co
nditions: Acne, Athlete's foot (for external use only).

PRI Manuka Oil from New Zealand is very gentle and can be used straight from the bottle for its antibacterial properties. It is a natural antiseptic suitable for the whole family (and pets) to use. It also has a wide range of antifungal activity. The difference f rom its Australian cousin Tea Tree Oil is that is has a
pleasant aroma and will not burn or irritate the skin.

Therapeutic Action Manuka Oil has been shown to be effective when used as an: antibacterial agent, antifungal and as an anti-inflammatory. Manuka Oil has been shown to aid as an external application for treatment of: Abrasions--
skin, abscess, acne, bed sores, blisters, boils, burns, carbuncles, cold sores, cracked skin, dandruff, dermatitis, ears and body-pierced infections, eczema, nail and fungal infections, insect bites, lice, ringworm, rinitis skin-oily, sun burn, tinea, tonsillitis.

Suspended in an almond oil base, this highly purified essential oil has a unique floral note and high levels of active compounds to use for sore joints and inflammation. It is used often as a massage oil for lower back pain in pregnant women.

A topical application, Nectar Balm-with Active Manuka Honey and Bee Venom has been developed for external use on aches and pains and bruises. It has a fine, soft texture and is able to be gently massaged into tender areas that may be swollen due to sprains and strains or bruising as well as the arthritic joint.

Nectar Balm meets the needs of sports people and those in active occupations that make demands on the muscles, joints and ligaments. It is widely used by people who have very localized arthritic pain and those who occasionally experience "break through" pain, a common occurrence with many arthritic
patients. It is a product that should be in everybody’s medicine cabinets.

A 100g pot of Nectar Balm is a ‘must have’ balm and an essential part of any first-aid kit. The cream is soft and smooth in texture and is easily absorbed: a welcome benefit when massaging tender areas swollen due to sprains, strains, bruising or aching and stiff because of arthritis. Remarkably, it can also
relieve the pain of a headache, when applied to the temples or the back of the neck!

Our certified Bio-Gro Flaky Sea Salt is the perfect accompaniment to any meal. It’s perfect for cooking or as a finishing salt and has a wonderful taste and texture—with an amazing low price.

New Zealand - Pacific Natural Fine Sea Salt is harvested from the deep clear waters of the great southern oceans that sweep through Cook Strait between New Zealand's North and South Islands and into the solar salt field. These waters are evaporated using the natural process of sun and wind. At the end of each summer Pacific Natural Sea Salt is gathered so as to maintain the balance of minerals present in salt harvested from the sea.

There are no chemical additives or processing aids used in the Pacific Natural Sea Salt production and there is just one ingredient - seawater. The Process is
certified by Bio-Gro (Organic) New Zealand. All of PRI's Salt is certified Kosher

Arataki's Manuka Honey contains a high level of antibacterial activity only found in Manuka Honey.  Manuka Honey is sourced from Leptospermum scoparium a small tree that is native to New Zealand. This small shrub-like tree grows in clusters on hillsides, in coastal areas and at the edges of the New Zealand bush. During the heat of the early summer it produces a profusion of flowers a-buzz with bees busily collecting nectar to make our unique Manuka Honey - the flavor of our country.

PRI's Active Manuka Honey, with its distinctively rich flavor and aroma, can be eaten by the spoonful, used as a spread or added to hot beverages. Take 2-3 teaspoons (10-15g) be fore meals to aid the digestive system. The consumption of honey is not suitable for children under one year old. 100% Raw Honey!

My tip is to always moisturize and use sunscreen on your skin. It's also important to stay hydrated.

My tip is don't overdo it. Too many people plaster on the makeup and use colors that don't match their skin tone. They look like clowns. Less is best.

It's not really a beauty tip, but I try to use sunscreen and face cream daily. I did a product review for Aveeno absolutely ageless. It's a really good product.

I honestly don't know if it helps, but I am a big believer in hydrating from the inside. I try to drink all day long, water and unsweetened iced tea, both with lemon.
