As many of you know, I am a self-proclaimed beauty junkie. I have an addiction to all cosmetics and skincare products, hair products, and perfumes. It's bad. My "collection" takes over an entire bathroom, the tops of my dressers, and an entire, large pantry. My husband thinks I need a 12-Step Program for Beauty Addicts. I just love trying different products and finding the ones that are right for me, even during different times of the year. My summer and winter skin care regiments are not the same, since the skin needs different things at different times. So this generally requires a wide variety of products. (Not that I'm complaining!)

So recently, when I got the opportunity to try out a few Strixaderm-MD products from the generous folks at NutraStore.com, I was very excited. This is not a brand I was familiar with, and I was eager to see how the products stacked up against my tried-and-true favorites.
The first product I'd like to talk about is the Strixaderm-MD Crystal Peel Body Cleanser. This exfoliant is truly amazing, and it definitely keeps my skin looking radiant and feeling super-soft.

While this is not a completely natural or organic product, the special formula used in the Crystal Peel does include several natural ingredients that are known for their skin-friendly properties. The Amber Powder and Passion Fruit Seed Powder act as natural exfoliants, which gently and effectively remove those pesky dead skin cells around ankles, elbows and knees with ease. Wow. That rhymed. Totally unintentional.

In addition for the natural ingredients, this product also contains several other ingredients which are also gentle on the skin. All in all, this exfoliant is pretty darn amazing. It's not too harsh or abrasive, and since it contains FloraPearls (jojoba esters), my skin is never dry feeling after exiting the shower. This product definitely leaves the skin soft and very nourished feeling.

The next product I'd love to share with you is the Strixaderm-MD Glamour Radiance. This skin-brightening lotion is lightweight, and absorbs into the skin very rapidly, leaving behind no funky residue. (Don't you just hate that greasy feeling after applying some lotions?) All you will feel here is velvety soft skin. Major, major brownie points there!

I wear this lotion on it's own sometimes, but I also put it on underneath my make-up. It actually moisturizes the skin enough that make-up doesn't settle into creases or fine lines. I also find that since this makes my skin look more luminous, I use less foundation than normal, and can choose a more sheer coverage level to achieve a more natural look. And as we all know when it comes to make-up, less can definitely be more, if you have a great canvas to apply it to. I absolutely love this product, and would order it by the case if I could.

Last but certainly not least, there's the Strixaderm-MD AquaScoop. This is a thicker, richer moisturizer that is perfect for night time use. Since it is so creamy, a little bit really goes a long way.

The AquaScoop, like other Strixaderm-MD products, contains super-hydrating, natural ingredients like Shea, Mango, and Cocoa Butters, Vitamin E, and even Pomegranate Extract. These and the other ingredients used are specifically formulated to hydrate the skin and help retain moisture. Proper moisturizing is so important, and can minimize the appearances of wrinkles and creases, as well as give the skin a plumper, more youthful appearance.

I have been using the AquaScoop nightly, and I have to say, I absolutely love this product. Like the Glamour Radiance, this absorbs into the skin quite nicely and doesn't leave behind a greasy residue. This will definitely be my go-to product during the colder months. This truly leaves my skin softer, more hydrated, and just plain healthier feeling. I wish I could bathe in this stuff, but that would be pretty darn expensive to do, haha.

Overall, I am definitely loving how these Strixaderm-MD products are making my skin look and feel. They're very effective at brightening and hydrating my complexion. They are also residue-free, and full of natural ingredients that the skin loves. The only thing that would make these products better? If they were completely organic. But, I am happy to see the use of so many natural, plant-based ingredients. I would definitely recommend Strixaderm-MD to anyone looking for super-hydrated, radiant skin. Yes, they're a bit on the pricey side, but you truly do get every penny's worth. The results are definitely visible, even after just a couple of days.
