Now that spring is finally here to stay, it's time to begin the dreaded Spring Cleaning. Why do I say dreaded? Well, have you ever tried to get a teenage boy to leave the comfort of his room to help with some major cleaning? Whenever I attempt this, Kyle seems to get very sleepy in the blink of an eye. Or, when he's feeling really creative, his bones are broken. (Of course they aren't. He just claims this to avoid doing his share of the chores.) When it's time for Spring Cleaning, this mama goes from a laid-back, chill, hippie chick to a barking Drill Sergeant. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right?
Anyway, to prepare for our annual Spring Cleaning, I headed to Walmart to stock up on several household essentials. Now through April 30th, Walmart is hosting the P&G Stock Up & Save event, which offers even lower prices on the brands and products people use the most like Tide, Bounty, Tampax, and more! There are Rollback prices and even special bonus sizes available. Stocking up has never been more painless or affordable!
During the P&G Stock Up and Save Event you can save on the following items:
When we headed to our local Walmart, this event was clearly a hit! A few of the products I wanted to grab weren't in stock. No worries, though. There were still plenty of great deals to choose from, like these brand new Bounty with Dawn Paper Towels. I have to say, these are genius. They actually have the power of Dawn Dish Soap embedded into the towels. This makes cleaning up spills, messes, etc simpler than ever.
We also stocked up on some Liquid Tide as well as convenient Tide Pods. I got the Tide Pods for my teenager, Kyle. He does his own laundry, and the pods make this foolproof for him. No need to measure, and no more sticky detergent spills on the top of the washing machine. It's a win-win situation. Seriously, though.....How does he manage to get detergent ALL OVER the washing machine, anyway? Must be a teenage thing. Or maybe a guy thing. Or both!
We were able to find some really fantastic deals on all of our favorite P&G products at Walmart during their Stock Up & Save Event. We took advantage of the super-low prices and bought enough detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper to last quite some time, and all without breaking the bank. This event is going on right now, and will run through April 30, 2015. Hurry on over and grab all the household essentials on your list! Happy Spring Cleaning, everyone!
Enter to win a $25 Walmart Gift Card :
I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive a $25 Walmart gift card so they can stock up and save on their favorite P&G items, too!
How cool is that?!

I forgot the question. My husband is talking up a storm. I like the Bounty paper towels. I won't use a sponge to clean my counter tops. It spreads germs.I am going through room by room cleaning top to bottom. I kind of went on stroke a few tears ago, hoping to motivate my husband. All that did was make a huge mess for me. Now, I'm cleaning and having a say so.

Whenever possible I try to use natural products to clean with, vinegar and baking soda, items like that. Harsh cleansers were making me very ill from the fumes. Also for cleaning walls I have been using a clean sponge mop. It gets the whole wall clean without stretching. Just make sure you really squeeze out the excess water first and change the water often.
