![]() My kids love music. A lot. My 12 year old is going through an odd, emo phase and listens to a lot of Lady Gaga. My toddlers? Well, they're pretty versatile. My Sophie is in love with Justin Bieber, much to my dismay, and both of my babies also adore Bruno Mars. (Which is my absolute favorite current artist, by the way!) Music is something that runs deep in our family. I used to sing, and can dabble in guitar and piano. My husband is as tone-deaf as Roseanne Bar, but can play a mean bass guitar. We listen to music of all kinds from many different eras and genres. It's no wonder our kids love music as much as they do! This is a love that I encourage and plan to nurture in every way possible. While Step2 is most well known for their amazing, over-the-top outdoor toys and play structures, this company also offers a wide variety of smaller, indoor toys that promote creative play. There are dollhouses and accessories, kitchen play items, and even an awesome looking Ball Pit! Ahh, I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese in Ohio as a kid and jumping in the ball pits! It was always so much fun sinking into the balls and even throwing them at my butthead little brother. (Don't judge...You know you probably did the same thing to your younger siblings!) For safety and sanitation reasons, these ball pits are no longer used at this establishment. Leave it to the folks at Step2 to bring this fun, much-loved memory back to life in the comfort of my own home! While there are so many indoor play options from Step2, my favorites have to be their musical instruments! Step2's Basic Rhythms line offers a great way to introduce even the youngest of children to the wonderful world of music. These come in fun, vibrant colors and are sized perfectly for little hands. The really cool part? These are not just simple "noise-making" toys. They actually teach early music comprehension by including coded sheet music, and even labeling the keys with the note that's being played, where applicable! The Basic Rhythms Piano comes loaded with 3 songs, and has 8 playable keys. Each key is labeled, C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C, in correspondence to the note that's being played. Think that's cool? The Basic Rhythms Guitar is a 3 string guitar that features a knob at top of the neck to change the pitch of the instrument! Talk about a great way to introduce little ones to the joys of playing music! Take a look at just a few of these amazing products for your little rockstars! Don't these look wonderful? I know I will be purchasing these instruments from the Step2 Basic Rhythms line for Sophie and Xander. They already love to sing, dance, and wiggle, so why not give them their own rock band set-up! In my opinion, a child is never too young to learn to appreciate music. Step2 is giving families the chance to promote that in a fun, colorful, hands-on way! Oh, I should also mention for parents of more than one child, most of these products can be purchased in sets of 2. This is a great value, and will help prevent the inevitable game of Tug-O-War when the toys come out. Yep, they've thought of everything, once again!
