Now that winter is over, knock on wood, many of us are ready to tackle some hardcore Spring Cleaning. My house needs it for sure, since we've been cooped up all winter with kids and multiple pets. Some all-around freshening is definitely in order!
When it comes to cleaning products, I generally try to choose products that are safe around both my human children and my fur-babies. Things like dyes, glycols, phosphates, 1,4-dioxane, chlorine, DEA, formaldehyde, caustics, or optical brighteners aren't what I'm looking for when I'm reading ingredient labels. I much prefer safe, natural ingredients, such as those found in Grab Green's home product line-up. Grab Green creates effective, non-toxic laundry and home care solutions that are gentle on you and the planet. Their mission is to innovate the best eco-responsible products on the market that perform even better than the leading brands. Grab Green was the first to launch a pod-based laundry detergent, solvent-free power degreaser, non-toxic garbage disposal freshener, and a naturally derived cookware/bakeware cleaner. Their promise to you is that their products will always be effective, eco-responsible, healthier, and innovative. Grab Green products also smell amazing, thanks to their unique and handcrafted aromatherapeutic blends of essential oils. Yep. That's right. I just said the magic words: Essential oils.
We received a nice assortment of Grab Green products to check out for ourselves. They arrived quickly, and were packaged in an adorable box that almost made me eager to start cleaning, which is normally something I despise.
Anyway, inside the pretty package were several home essentials like laundry and dish products. You know, those must haves that no home can be without? The best part? These products are eco-friendly and completely safe. First, I'd love to tell you all about Grab Green's laundry line-up. Grab Green 3 in 1 Laundry Detergent Pods are pre-measured concentrated powder pods that cut through dirt, leaving your laundry clean and fresh. This naturally derived detergent is gentler on your skin and the environment while providing multiple benefits to your laundry, including deep cleaning, stain removal, and brighter whites and colors. These come in an amazing Gardenia scent, or fragrance-free for those with sensitivities. We are very impressed with how well this laundry detergent cleans our clothing. Often, "green" detergents are a bit lacking in efficiency, and may not get clothing as clean as I'd like. This was not the case with Grab Green 3 in 1 Laundry Detergent Pods! I especially love the Gardenia scented pods, but the fragrance-free version performs just as well! Free from harsh chemicals, Grab Green Bleach Alternative Pods are laundry boosters and pre-treaters that help make colors brighter and whites whiter while removing stains and neutralizing odors. (Pro Tip: They may also be used to clean grout and remove carpet stains!) With pets and kids, we suffer from lots of messes, whether it's spills on clothing or accidents on our carpet. (Bad dog!) I have found that Grab Green's Bleach Alternative Pods do a wonderful job cleaning these offensive stains. Used in the washing machine, they help whites stay bright, and colors stay vibrant. On the carpet as a spot cleaner, these work equally well. They easily remove any offensive stains and odors, leaving nothing behind. Excellent!
Grab Green also offers some great kitchen products!
Grab Green Automatic Dishwashing Detergent Pods cut through grime, remove grease, and leave dishes sparkling clean all while being free of dyes, chlorine, and phosphates. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about these Dishwashing Pods. I've had very mixed experiences with eco-friendly dishwasher detergent, and have had issues with odd residues being left behind in the past. Grab Green hit the nail on the head with their formulation, and my dishes are clean, shiny, and spot-free. Yippee! Grab Green Garbage Disposal Freshener & Cleaner works triple duty to remove odors, prevent clogging, and loosen grime. Free of phosphates, chlorine, and dyes, these power-packed freshening pods are the healthier, safer way to keep your disposal clean and fresh. This product, too, is fantastic. My teenager has a horrible habit of sticking everything under the sun into the disposal. He must forget that we have a trash can. Seriously, folks, Jimmy Hoffa may be hiding somewhere in my pipes and I'd be none the wiser. At least that's what our disposal odor smells like at times! The Grab Green Garbage Disposal Freshener & Cleaner has worked absolute wonders. My disposal is working better, and the nasty, funkified odors are a thing of the past! Now all I smell is a nice, fresh clean scent. Overall, I am definitely pleasantly surprised by how well Grab Green products work. As far as eco-friendly cleaning products go, these are at the top of their game. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for a safe, natural, effective way to tackle your Spring Cleaning! How to Connect Plus Special Savings :

I am a huge fan of microfiber cloths and use them for dusting, cleaning glass and windows and general cleaning. I use almost no paper towels now.

Don't forget the outdoors. We all had a rough winter and our yard needs a spring cleaning. Yesterday I suited up wearing a ponytail, baseball cap. gloves and pollen mask. I walked over to get the mower and a little kid saw me and screamed for his mommy. I guess I may have looked like a burglar to him!

When cleaning closets take a box with you and if you haven't worn in a year donate to charity. We had seven bags full of stuff that we donated to Easter seals. And had 4 boxes that went to a church rummage sale.
