In my household, one thing tends to be lacking. Well, at least for this mom! The one thing I don't seem to get enough of is sleep. As a matter of fact, I often get only 2-3 hours of sleep per night. With the demands of the blog, the babies, my preteen, a marriage, and a house that doesn't magically clean itself, I often find myself running on empty. I get tired in the afternoons, and I even get nasty headaches on occasion that I am sure can be attributed to sleep deprivation. I seem to have a hard time falling asleep, since I am always waiting for a baby to cry. Or my mind will still be racing as I think about everything that needs to be planned for or chores that need to be done the following day. Being a mom is busy work! So really, it's no wonder that it can be a challenge to settle into a restful sleep every evening. That's why when I discovered the SOUND+SLEEP Sleep Therapy System, I knew I wanted to try it. The SOUND+SLEEP is the perfect solution for those with sleep disorders, or those who just happen to need a little extra help dozing on occasion. It's even great for those with babies or small children who don't like going to sleep in an absolutely silent room. How does the SOUND+SLEEP work? This sleekly designed little sleep machine is no ordinary white noise machine. This unique sleep solution offers several different sound settings. Whether it be the roar of a waterfall or the subtle crackling of a fireplace, SOUND+SLEEP is sure to have a sound that will soothe and relax you. Using this system, you will easily be lulled into a peaceful, natural sleep. Here are the available sounds: But the SOUND+SLEEP doesn't stop there! On top of the huge hi-definition sound selection, this machine offers something extra special. Something that will make falling and staying asleep almost effortless. That something extra is the adaptive sound technology used in making the SOUND+SLEEP. Sure that sounds a little confusing, but the concept is quite simple. The SOUND+SLEEP is a smart machine. It can actually detect noises around you, and adjusts the volume accordingly to drown out the distractions. So if you have noisy traffic or someone is rudely talking as you try and fall asleep, the unit can sense this and will act accordingly! How cool is that?! I suppose it would drown out a baby crying, too, although my maternal instincts kick in when my babies cry and I wake up anyway. There could be bombs going off all around me, and if my babies so much as sneeze, I wake up. Overall, I love the SOUND+SLEEP Sleep Therapy System. I have been using it to help me fall asleep for the past couple of weeks now. It really works! I love the rainfall setting the most. I find it very relaxing, and it almost mesmerizes me into a deep, natural sleep. I wake up feeling rested and refreshed rather than sleepy and grumpy. My family LOVES that, since when Mama's not happy, NOBODY'S happy! Another thing I love about my SOUND+SLEEP unit is that you can easily control the sensitivity, the volume, turn off the display lights, and even set the sleep timer, which I find to be a wonderful feature. The sleep timer has options for 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes so it will shut off on its own during the night once that perfect sleep has been achieved. I would definitely recommend the SOUND+SLEEP Sleep Therapy System to anyone who would like to improve the quality of their overall lives. Getting a good night's sleep is essential for physical health, and it will also leave you much more ready to conquer the day. SOUND+SLEEP can help you achieve the most restful, comfortable sleep imaginable, all while remaining totally natural. Yes, you really can get prescription free sleep with SOUND+SLEEP! BUY IT: You can purchase a SOUND+SLEEP system on their website. You can also follow them on Facebook to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! I learned that it adjusts volume and dynamically mixes complementary sounds into the main sound track in response to background disturbances. How cool! That might help the kids sleep better at night even if Mom & Dad have the tv on, etc.

I learned that you have a choice of ten sound stories and always have volume control. We stayed at a motel that had a similar system once we thought it was great--but had no volume control just 3 loud choices--so we skipped using it--then at 2:00 am we awoke to the freight trains they went on for the rest of the night.

At work or home, background noise can range from passing cars to overhead airplanes, slamming doors, ringing phones and talkative roommates. Such noise intrusions can limit work productivity and keep people awake. Adaptive Sound™ Technology is a patented method of automatically adapting audio playback based on the unique ambient and acoustical characteristics of one’s environment. This allows you to neutralize unwanted background noises to maximize the sound environment at home and at work.
