So while entering sweeps, I somehow got phished and spam e-mails were sent from my e-mail account the other day. I changed my password and assumed all was fine. WRONG! AOL stinks and was a bit behind...They had the courtesy to let me know WELL after I figured it out, and have locked my e-mail account. I tried to log in and reset my password AGAIN like they requested. I had a series of security questions to answer. Well, it must be case sensitive, because it STILL wouldn't let me in...And I know I had the right answers! And to top it all off, AOL help desk is closed on Sundays, and they don't have any available online support, either. So if anyone has e-mailed me, I will not be able to access my account for another 24 hours. I am sure I will have to physically call them and gripe. I was already aware I had been phished, and had already changed my passwords....So why would they lock my account down well after I had already reset everything? Grrr...So frustrating! There are e-mails I have to respond to, and now I can't. I do not like AOL.
***Update: So I found 24/7 online "help" if you want to call it that, and talked to 2 representatives, and they are NO help AT ALL. I had to repeat myself about 100 times and then was told to call support Mon-Fri...Call support? Aren't the online reps SUPPORT? That's what they were advertised as being! Help my butt. Someone is going to hear from me tomorrow, and I will not be happy. It takes a LOT to get me angry, too...Why work as customer support if you cannot provide just that?
