***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** My daughter, Sophie, is a girly girl. She is only 5 years old, but absolutely loves experimenting with fashion. Whether it's styling an outfit, recommending hairstyles or makeup, or even telling someone what color nail polish they should try next, this little girl certainly loves sharing her "expert" opinions! Sometimes, the results are more than a little bit hilarious. She seems to think everything should be worn with a sparkly fedora. That's a different post entirely, of course! So when I learned that SinfulColors released a brand new line-up for spring, I was really excited. Not only could I add to my massive collection of nail polishes without breaking the bank, I could also plan some treasured "Mommy & Me" time with my favorite little diva. The SinfulColors Spring 2015 collection is a comprehensive collection of 24 bold, vibrant and unexpected shots of color that capture three major nails trends of the season. Traditional, soft pastels get an invigorating update with creamy shimmer and glitter. Mood boosting zesty oranges, bright yellows and greens invoke an energizing palette of citrus-inspired colors guaranteed to invigorate your spring awakening. And calm blues, purples and teals are enhanced with iridescent toppers that make for a decorative and decadent take on classic shades. Sounds pretty awesome, right? I received 5 of these gorgeous shades to try out for myself. I chose a variety of shades and finishes, including the more matte shades, "Thimbleberry" and "Why Not", the citrusy, glittery "Horizon Shine", the truly decadent "Gold Medal", and a sheer, opalescent turquoise shade, "Sheer Flight". I settled down with my adorable little princess to have some girl time. I asked her which shade we should try first, and she excitedly exclaimed, "ALL of them, Mommy!" AND she said that she wanted to paint my nails for me. Okay. Sure. Why not? The girl has to practice and hone her skills somewhere, and I am a more than willing guinea pig. After all, it's nothing that a Q-Tip and some nail polish remover can't fix, right? So Sophie and I put on some Bruno Mars, kicked the boys out, and got to work giving each other manicures. Sophie gave me "Spring Rainbow Nails" using all 5 shades we received from the SinfulColors Spring 2015 collection. The more matte shades were easier for her to use, as they provided more opaque color per coat. (Remember, she's just learning, so she did get frustrated when the sheer colors didn't "show up" as much as the others.) All of the colors were easy to apply, and were definitely very fun and vibrant. Sophie had a blast, and was very proud of her work. For a 5 year old that is just learning the ropes, I think she did a spectacular job, and I am rocking my "Spring Rainbow Nails" with pride. I absolutely LOVE the wide variety of shades offered by SinfulColors! There are so many ways to add some fun to your spring look, whether you want something pastel and pretty, glittery and invigorating, or even something a bit more on the adventurous side. At about $2 a bottle, it's easy to have a different color to compliment any look this spring. Worried about the small price tag? Don't be! SinfulColors nail polishes offer wonderful performance, similar to that of those much more expensive brands. When properly applied with a base and top coat, these nail polishes continue to shine for well over a week without chipping or peeling. SinfulColors is definitely one of the best values out there when it comes to nail polish. Try them for yourself, and I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised! You can learn more about SinfulColors on their website.
