***Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sudafed.*** Do you know anyone who is literally allergic to the rain? No? Well, you do now! My name is Brandy, and I am severely allergic to the rain. Okay, I don't know that it's the rain itself that makes me feel like death warmed over, it's more likely the change in barometric pressure. Regardless, my nose is more accurate than any meteorologist I have ever seen. At about 24 hours before a good rain, I become absolutely miserable. My nose drips like a hot water faucet. It's non-stop, and it's completely maddening. This then causes my nose to become red, raw and painful. Ouch! If that wasn't bad enough, I also get severe sinus pressure and pain, as well as migraines. It's often bad enough that I can't even get a good nights sleep. I should be used to this, since my sinuses have given me trouble my entire life, but how does one truly get used to feeling like a pile of drippy manure? If sinus woes make you go crazy, too, don't bottle up your frustration! Rant, rage and share your feelings with the Sudafed’s OPEN UP™ application on Facebook. By sharing your gripes in some very creative ways, you might just become $5,000 richer! Just think of how many boxes of tissues that could buy! Users can sketch what their image of sinus pain and pressure looks like. There are some very cute ways to do so, too! I am glad the folks at Sudafed can have a sense of humor about a topic many don't find so amusing. If I can chuckle about my sinus issues, they seem just a wee bit more bearable! I had a blast sketching my version of sinus pain and pressure. As you can see, it feels a lot like a sledgehammer pounding my poor head while my raw, red nose incessantly drips snot into a big box of tissues. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all. But pretty darn accurate, nonetheless. Once I submitted my photo and information, I was officially entered to win $5,000! It was so simple, too! Plus, I got a valuable Sudafed coupon just for taking the time to enter. Sudafed knows that suffering from sinus pressure and pain can leave individuals feeling crushed, beat down, congested and even squeezed, desperately looking for a way to OPEN UP™. Serious sinus sufferers are invited to creatively share how their sinus pain and pressure looks and feels to them by using Sudafed’s OPEN UP™ application on Facebook. Then, beginning on December 2, the Sudafed Facebook community will vote for one of five finalist sketches that best illustrates the pains of sinus pressure. The winner will receive $5,000 and a chance to have their work included in a Sudafed advertising campaign. For more information, visit the Sudafed Facebook page. That's funny. I can tell what the weather will be in advance on how and where my head hurts and how well I'm able to breathe.I'm more accurate than the news.
