As you all know, I love my puppies. My fur-babies include Trouble, a mischievous Yorkie (seen at left) and Bear, my fluff-ball Shih-Tzu who looks just like a teddy bear. We also have Chloe, a Jack-A-Bee, but she's technically my 12 year old's dog and she stays by his side 24/7.
I absolutely adore my little dogs. I prefer them to bigger dogs for a few reasons. For one, I have horrible pet allergies and require a more hypo-allergenic pet. Also, small dogs are absolutely precious. They're so stinking cute, and I love the fact that I can carry them around with me.
Trouble certainly lives up to her name. She's only 8 months old, and she's strong-willed and stubborn. She also gets very, very excited and assaults guests with kisses. But, at the same time, she's so loving and playful. And she is absolutely amazing with my toddlers. Now if only housebreaking were an easy task....Yorkies are notoriously difficult in this area. I guess all good things come to those who wait and she'll give in eventually. In the meantime, thank God for Puppy Pads!
Bear is only about 12 weeks old. He's a Shih-Tzu, which just so happens to be my favorite breed. Shih-Tzus are clever, very intelligent, and make wonderful companions since they're lap dogs. We actually got Bear because right after we moved to Ohio, Kyle's dog, Chloe ran away. We tried searching for her, and after a week there was no sight of her. Plus an animal control officer told me over the phone that a small Jack Russell mix was found hit by a car about a mile from our home. We assumed it was Chloe.
So when Kyle told us he'd like another dog, we caved. We didn't tell him we suspected she was dead, but we didn't expect her to come home, either. We found Bear about an hour from us in Cleveland's West Side. He was one of 2 puppies left in a Shih-Tzu litter. Both parents were present and he came with papers. We fell in love with him as soon as we laid eyes on him. His sweet, little teddy bear face, his golden brown coloring, and his laid back, mellow attitude had us hooked.
How cute is he, though?! Who could possibly resist?
Needless to say, we spoil our dogs. They're like our babies. One thing we love to do to pamper our pooches is feed them Cesar dog foods and treats. CESAR® Canine Cuisine is an exceptional line of high quality cuisine and treats. We offer individually prepared entrées available in four textures, original paté, GOURMET FILETS® in sauce, Savory Delights™ with delicious toppings and Meaty Selects™ with real meaty chunks. From the filet mignon flavor to CESAR SUNRISE® breakfast entrées, CESAR® Canine Cuisine features a variety of irresistible flavors. Newer to the product line are CESAR® Treats award-winning Pet Food Product of the Year for 2010, CESAR® Treats, available in soft, chewy and crunchy textures and a variety of flavors.
Recently we got to try the brand new Savory Delights meals. They come in gourmet flavors like Rotisserie Chicken with Bacon and Cheese and Filet Mignon, just to name a couple. My pups absolutely loved them! There were wagging tails all around, and they didn't leave a single morsel behind.
Overall, We love the new Savory Delights meals from Cesar. They're made from fresh ingredients, are super convenient, and are apparently paw-licking good!
