So I have been going nuts all week trying to find FIVE funny things to post today...I have not had the most amusing week at all. My son had another bullying issue and we had to involve the Principal and the School Resource Officer AKA County Police Officer this time. This has consumed a lot of my time and energy this week. The thing that irks me is that this is one of the same kids who has been terrorizing my son for YEARS. Come to find out, BOTH of the kid's parents are correctional officers. But they can't correct their own kid? WHAT?! Then my anniversary was Thursday and the day was completely ruined. My hubby surprised me by taking the day off. I woke up and he had scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom. Then our phone, internet, and cable went out due to a local outage and remained out for almost 24 hours. (I HATE YOU, FiOS!) This wouldn't have mattered except for the fact that without a working phone, we couldn't find a sitter. We also couldn't order take-out because again, no phone, and no internet to view menus. I got stuck with Taco Bell and a lot of apologies. Fun times. Anyway, here's my lame attempt at 5 cute or funny things this week. When you're done here, click the cute little picture at the head of the post to read other submissions or add your own! Happy Easter, everyone! I promise to be more creative next week! Because it's Easter weekend.... 2. You may recall I mentioned last week that my daughter calls me "Bobby" because she can't say her M's. Well, she has learned a new word. Guacamole. What does she call it? "Bock-A-Booey" It's really cute!
3. Xander, my 1 year old, is a little escape artist. We have a baby gate between the family room and the kitchen. He has figured out how to knock it down and go running all over the house. Because he's just starting to run, he is very heavy-footed. You can hear him a mile away, and it sounds like a herd of elephants....Thump, thump, thump! 4. I cannot decide if my toddlers are the best of friends or the worst of enemies. They like to run up to each other, act like they're hugging, and then violently body-slam eachother to the floor. Do I have a future MMA star on my hands? 5. I'm all out of funny, but here's Xander's Easter outfit! Where we go for Easter is very casual. My sister-in-law says he looks like he's about to go golfing!

That your son's terrorist has correctional officers for parents is not at all surprising. One or both parents are likely very heavy handed with him (See abusive) and have long expected him to act like a little adult rather than a child who needs solid boundaries without physical violence. It's also a guarantee that they permit him to see more violent tv than he should because they are desensitized to criminal activity. Good luck with getting help with him. In my experience, schools are hesitant to deal punishments to bullies, especially if the parents of said bully are "upstanding" members of the community, such as cops usually are.

Seriously how the heck can they raise their kids like this with the jobs they have! I am so sorry he has to go through this! She is so cute- bock-a -booey- super cute! I can relate on the escape artist- Zane does the same thing. Drives me crazy sometimes. I LOVE Xander Easter outfit. Thanks you for making me laugh- I had a rough weekend and you put a smile on my face. Hugs on the bullying thing- I hope it gets rectified.
