I have heard of celebs enduring countless expensive clinic treatments in hopes of reducing the appearance of cellulite. Now as far as I am aware, there is no "cure" for this pesky condition. No way to get rid of it, once and for all. There are only treatments that can lessen the severity of the skin's appearance. These treatments can cost thousands of dollars, and must be repeated on a regular basis to maintain the effect. Until I make the cast of "The Real Housewives of NE Ohio", I highly doubt I'll be able to afford such treatments.
Thankfully, there is an effective, affordable solution to cellulite that women can use in the comfort and privacy of their own home. Wait. Maybe there won't be privacy. I haven't been able to pee in peace in years. Ah, the joys of motherhood! I'm sure you all can relate, right?
Anyway, Riiviva recently released a wonderful system for reducing the appearance of nasty cellulite. Riiviva Cellulite is safe, painless, and is registered with the FDA as an at-home product for reducing the appearance of cellulite. This product can be used an unlimited amount of times for a mere fraction of the cost of a singular in-spa or clinical treatment.
How Riiviva Cellulite Works:
What IS Cellulite, anyway?
Cellulite is the unsightly lumpy, dimpled skin appearance, also known as the 'cottage cheese' or 'orange peel' appearance. Cellulite consists of fat deposits that appear mainly on the hips, thighs and buttocks.
Cellulite is one of the most embarrassing and troubling skin conditions of women. It’s estimated that 90% of women over the age of 14, regardless of their weight or size, are affected by it.
Cellulite is fat trapped by a network of connective fibers. As fat deposits accumulate within the structure of this tissue, the connective fibers (called Septum) pull on their anchor points on the skin. The result is a dimpling or “orange peel” effect.
There is a fair amount of research in the medical journals documenting how suction and mechanical massage effectively releases and relaxes this dimpling effect on the skin temporarily. Riiviva Cellulite was designed to be an affordable (yet temporary) solution to this very problem.
This product is truly unique as it combines both mechanical stimulation and suction.
25 years and over 100 clinical studies validate the combination of suction and mechanical massage and its effect on cellulite and reducing the circumference of the fatty tissue at the area of the treated cellulite.
The combination of suction and mechanical stimulation is regularly shown to significantly reduce the circumference of the thigh through lipolysis (fat reduction) and improve the appearance of cellulite.
The action of suction and mechanical massage is to stretch the connective tissue (septum) that connects the skin to the underlining muscle tissue. When these pockets of fatty tissue bulge, the septum remain tightly anchored and the bulges create a dimpled effect on the surface of the skin. Riiviva Cellulite’s patent-pending 360 LIFT head puts a stretch on the septum, thus relaxing the connecting tension at the anchor points, compresses the adipocytes (fat cells) and can help to increases circulation. This results in two things:
- Improvement in your cellulite appearance
- Reduction in the circumference of your treated body part
My Review :
Anyway, my butt...Oh my poor butt. What little butt is there definitely has the beginnings of some light dimpling, and it's making the idea of squeezing into a swimsuit sound like a nightmare. I decided that, with the help of a giggling husband, I would test out Riiviva Cellulite on my bum.
The unit was very simple to operate, and came with very clear instructions. I have tried all of the settings, but have found that the strongest suction setting produces the most visible results. Initially after using, I did notice some red marking on my skin, but this dissipates rather quickly and is totally normal. It actually shows that the unit is working properly and massaging and stretching the connective tissue.
When using the Riiviva Cellulite unit, you're going to want to be rough with it. No, really. For best results, you want to apply aggressive, constant motion over the skin. Don't worry; it doesn't actually hurt. If anything, it feels a bit strange and the stainless steel is cold against the skin. But there is no physical pain involved. If there were, I wouldn't use it because I am a big baby when it comes to pain.
Now for the fun part...The results! Did I see any reduction of dimpling on my butt? Yes. It was pretty dramatic when using the highest setting. But, as I said before, this is not a permanent fix. To maintain the appearance of plumper, smoother skin, treatments must be repeated. Since the product is used at home, it's easy to get a "boost" before swimming or going to any event where you want to look your best. I also love the fact that it also uses microdermabrasion to slough off dead skin, leaving the skin vibrant, soft, and rejuvenated.
Overall, I am quite happy with the results I've gotten from the Riiviva Cellulite Kit. It's quick and painless to use, and it saves literally thousands of dollars compared to in-spa or clinic treatments. If you're looking for an affordable product that can give you on-demand performance in the comfort of your own home, definitely check out the Riiviva Cellulite Kit!
