![]() With two active toddlers, we're always on the go. Whether it be running errands, indulging in some retail therapy, or heading out to the park, we tend to keep very busy. The kids are always very well behaved when we're out...until someone gets tired. Then all bets are off! And all of you Moms and Dads out there know, dealing with a cranky, sleepy toddler in public is not fun. Not at all. So of course, we always like to have a good, comfortable stroller available for such instances when our little ones simply cannot take another step on their own, and do not want to be held. If I am out on my own with the kids, this is especially vital. While I can hold or wear one baby, I need to be able to accommodate them both. So a high-quality stroller is a Mommy's Helper of sorts. Zooper is a brand I have been hearing about more and more over the past year or so. This amazing brand offers beautiful products that are functional, fashionable, and safe. The folks at Zooper are committed to providing only top quality baby gear, and they take great pride in their innovations. Every product is thoroughly tested and lovingly designed with both the comfort and safety of children and convenience and ease of use for parents in mind. As a matter of fact, their double-stroller, the Tango has been on my wish-list for what seems like ages. This stroller is absolutely drool-worthy, and is the perfect solution for families with more than one small child, like mine! While I am not reviewing the Tango, I wanted to mention it to you all since this really is the "Lamborghini of double strollers". It comes in fun color schemes and looks amazingly comfortable for little ones. So be sure to check it out! I especially love the Canyon Red design, since red and purple are my two favorite colors. Zooper has a new, lightweight umbrella stroller in their line-up. This stroller is called the Stomp. I have never been a huge fan of most umbrella strollers. I remember having one with my oldest child, and he would slide out of the seat easily, even while secured, and he often complained that it wasn't very comfortable. Another gripe I have had about umbrella strollers is overall poor construction. Many are very cheaply made, and definitely don't hold up to everyday use. But while many umbrella strollers are flimsy, unsafe, and not very comfortable, the Stomp offers an entirely new take on umbrella strollers that is delighting both parents and children. Zooper Stomp Features : Removable cup holder-This is great for Mom's morning coffee, some cold water or juice, or even baby's bottle! It is removable for easy cleaning, because let's face it: Spills happen sometimes! •Removable padded guardrail-I love this feature, since it allows me to feel peace of mind knowing my kids have an extra layer of protection against falls. You can even clip some toys onto this rail to keep kids occupied! •Adjustable canopy •Removable canopy for sun or shade-This is great, since sometimes my kids don't want the canopy on their stroller. It is easy to remove, and can be replaced in just seconds. And you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do it! •2 Seat options: mesh or full fabric. The mesh option is wonderful for hot, sticky summer days, while the full fabric option helps keep baby warm and cozy during cooler weather. •Brakes-Because no one wants a run-away stroller. I have seen this happen before, and it's enough to give a parent a heart attack! •5-point safety harness •Over-shoulder carry strap-This option is great because it allows parents to comfortably transport this stroller, just by throwing it over the shoulder. •Umbrella fold for easy portability •Suspension with swivel and lock wheels •Easy-access utility basket-This basket admittedly isn't the largest I have seen, but many umbrella strollers don't have one at all, so this is a nice, added bonus. •Removable armrest •Safety latch for easy carrying-Yes, if the Stomp is closed, it will STAY closed. •EVA tires 5″ front / rear •Seat recline: ¾ recline-This recline is operated by a simple drawstring. It is not a very significant recline, but it is enough to definitely make a sleepy baby or toddler comfortable. •Weight capacity: 45 lbs-The Stomp is intended for babies around 6 months or older, who can sit well independently. So if you've got a newborn, they will need to grow into this stroller. But let's face it: Newborns generally aren't a good fit for umbrella strollers to begin with! This stroller can get years of use, since 45lbs is a very generous weight limit. My soon to be 3 year old weighs around 30lbs, so she will be able to use it for quite some time. •Stroller weight 10.85 lbs-SUPER lightweight, and surprisingly sturdy! •Folded dimension: 45″ L x 11″ W x 12″ H-This is compact and will leave plenty of room in your trunk for groceries, gear and more! •Open dimension: 25″ L x 18″ W x 41″ H •Handle height: 41″ •Backrest height: 17.5″ •Seat width: 12″ The Zooper Stomp also comes in 2 great colors: Canyon Red and Black. The Canyon Red is actually more of a light red or bright salmon, and I absolutely love how vibrant it is. It's not your typical red, so it's sure to stand out in a crowd and make you the envy of the playground. And black...Well, that's pretty self-explanatory. Black is classic, sleek, and beautifully gender neutral. Black never goes out of style, either, so this stroller can be passed down from child to child. We received the Zooper Stomp in black to review. The first thing I noticed was how well made this stroller is. It's not flimsy and cheap like most umbrella strollers tend to be. It is made from high-quality materials, and even has a fun, overall pattern that is subtle but adds a touch of class to the appearance of the Stomp. The Stomp required very minimal assembly. In fact, the only thing I had to do was attach the front wheels and snap the cup holder into place. I admit, I am not at all mechanically inclined, so I generally leave anything requiring assembly to my husband. (Even kids' toys.) But the Stomp was SO simple to set up that I was able to do it myself in less than a minute. Yep, I felt pretty accomplished there. I love companies who offer products that are simple to put together. Zooper gets major brownie points here! I also love the fact that this stroller truly is lightweight. At under 11lbs, there is no need to lug it around or struggle to put into into the trunk of your vehicle. Even my oldest child can carry this stroller around with no complaints. Once the Zooper Stomp was fully assembled, I took a few minutes to familiarize myself with all of its great features. I'd like to share just a few of them with you. The Stomp has a very sturdy frame, and an elevated handle height, making it a great option for Dads. My husband is only 5 ft 9, but he has had to bend down a bit in the past while maneuvering umbrella strollers. With the Stomp, he can stand upright and comfortably push it. The handles are also padded and very comfortable to grip. The Zooper Stomp features a cozy fabric liner that is plush and comfortable for baby. During the hottest days of the summer, this fabric layer can be removed so baby is nestled against a soft yet durable mesh. This allows proper air flow to baby's skin and helps to keep them cool. My kids tend to get heat rashes, so this feature will be a lifesaver in our family this summer! It also has a removable guard-rail for an added sense of security. This will help keep curious tots in their seat where they belong, and will also help shield them from falls should they get the 5-point harness undone. The canopy can be adjusted easily to provide shade from sun or rain. It also is totally removable for times that you'll be indoors and your child may not want it in place. It only takes a few seconds to remove and replace, so it's not at all inconvenient. When the canopy is not in use, you can even stick it in the stroller's storage basket so it's out of the way. The wheels are very durable as well, and offer a nice swivel feature which allows for easy maneuverability. This stroller turns on a dime with no real effort, and it's movements are very fluid. The wheels can also be locked into place to go straight if desired. Wheels should ALWAYS be in a fixed position when walking on uneven surfaces. There is also a flexible footrest found between the front wheels. This is great for bigger kids who need somewhere to rest their feet. On the back of the Stomp, you'll find both the carry strap as well as the drawstring mechanism for the seat recline. To adjust the backrest to the lower position, all you need to do is unsnap the straps at the top of the frame. To make it fully upright again, simply push the back of the seat until it's upright, and then snap the straps back onto the frame. Easy as pie! This umbrella stroller also features a mesh utility basket. This isn't a very large basket, but can easily accommodate purses, blankets, and other essentials. No, it won't hold all your shopping bags acquired during a day at the mall, but I don't mind one bit. Most umbrella strollers I have seen don't have baskets at all, so the fact that the Stomp has one is pretty awesome and oh-so-convenient! Since the folks at Zooper are committed to safety, the Stomp has a 5 point safety harness that keeps kids in the stroller very securely. The buckle and straps are very durable and well made, and they are not easy for little hands to undo. Check out this brief video showing some of these great features in action. My husband helped me to demonstrate these features. Originally, my teen was going to help but decided he didn't want to be on camera. Overall, I am loving the Zooper Stomp. It's modern, sleek design is very high-end looking, and it definitely stands out in comparison to traditional umbrella strollers. In addition, this stroller isn't only lightweight and compact, it's loaded with convenience features that make my life as a Mom easier. Not to mention, it's comfy for my kids, too. Who knew an umbrella stroller could be so durable? I sure didn't! This is great news for Zooper, but not so great for those other brands who shall remain nameless...The Zooper Stomp is going to be one tough act to follow in the world of umbrella strollers. The Zooper Stomp has single-handedly changed the way I look at umbrella strollers. I would absolutely recommend the Stomp to any families out there looking for a dependable umbrella stroller with tons of style and flair. And it's quite affordable too, and can fit into any budget. Once you try the Stomp, you'll never go back to those other umbrella strollers. I know we won't!
